i finally saw kung fu hustle. I liked it....usually don't like that type of movie...but this one kept my attention and was humorous.

Each teacher changes their system a bit but there generally are 13 to probably 17 katas to get to black belt. Some ad other weapons kata's but others leave them out and only teach at brown belt level and up. The thing about this system is that there is a core but it adapts to adding other styles or aspects of styles to it. It is a hybrid anyway so why not.

Good points...most of the time the good moves are banned from tournaments etc, or we don't know or arent taught to use the other moves because it is hard to teach them without hurting someone...not a good thing to do in this sue happy country....oh no my coffee was hot i'm gonna sue

None...haven't played any in awhile.

Your religion should never stop you from practicing Martial Arts. As long as you respect others religious affiliations and don't judge it should not matter. Religion does not even enter our dojo.

I would like to open up Goshin Jutsu Karate discussion here. Please if you are just going to spam the thread stay away. I want a discussion about Goshin not a thread with someone arguing whether the style is legit. I'm sick of trying to defend the style to people who refuse to listen and have already made up their mind. SO DON'T POST UNLESS IT IS A LEGITAMATE QUESTION OR COMMENTS ON YOUR EXPERIENCES WITH GOSHIN. NO CRAP.

I don't have much time to read, but I will admit that I have read all the Harry Potter books, Eragon is a good book and I read most things by R.A Salvatore and Robert Jordan. I have read The Hobbit, and the Lord of the Ring trilogy.

I don't really have a favorite book but genre of books and I think you can tell that from the book titles and authors I named.

None....but I am using a couple computer books as reference. Java, Dreamweaver are the most common I look at.

I am reading Eragon. Its good so far.

 

Other authors I read are: Robert Jordan, R.A Salvatore, Terry Goodkind. All pretty much the same kind of book.

I don't know what all it is suppose to have in it.

 

All I know is if they want to compete with goodle, then they will have to keep it simple and have all the features it has plus more.

It was an okay show but it wasn't what I expected. Kind of cool to see how all the muscles worked while they did the techniques. Oh and to see how hard they actually kicked. They kicked with more force than heavy weight boxers hit with.

Kill Bill was kind of funny at times but I don't think it is all that great of a movie. Of course I don't really like that type of movie. I will watch the second but not in the thearte. (I think there is suppose to be 3 of them but I am not sure)

A new search enging called "Dipsie" is suppose to launch in 2004 sometime. It is said that it will search about 3 to 4 times the pages that google does. This is not hard to believe but it is amazing. Google is probably the best engine out there right now and searches a wide number of pages.

 

I like the MA in it. I didn't like the movie. The plot and some of the old style 70's stuff didn't impress me.

I would not use Publisher or word to create a web site. They put a bunch of junk in the html which in turn causes problems. I like Dreamweaver or Frontpage. Dreamweaver is probably the best. Costly though. Their is also Adobe GoLive.

 

My advice would to get a book on html create simple pages in notepad and learn to upload to a free host (such as Angelfire, Yahoo Geocities) Work with basic html first then go and get an editor such as front page or dreamweaver. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND WORD OR PUBLISHER.

Don't feel bad I have had to do the same thing. I have family, college, and other things. I used to be a regular poster....now I'm very sparse. Plus to much computer can be bad for you. My wife and I almost split because her addiction to the computer and chat rooms. (not going to go into that in anymore detail)

 

I don't have much time to do much. Not even train. I find time to do things just not on a regular basis.
