White Belt

White Belt (1/10)

  1. Sounds like the old me as well. This seems like the kind of thing that gets worked out over a few months of class. They will generally get to enjoy the classes, and will learn respect. Keep posting,
  2. I've never heard of 'Gae Baek'. I have heard of a 'Tae Baek' though... Anyway, what does a twist kick look like? Are there any alternate names for it? I've never heard of that either. Keep posting,
  3. Sorry about the huge thread necro, but this was way too good to die. 'What's up?' walking 10 minutes late into class. 'Putting my hand up, walking in random ways, forms are too easy.' 'There's something on your uniform' right in the middle of class. 'Remember, we're sparring, not fighting'. Kinda doesn't make sense. Keep posting,
  4. Of course! I am a red belt (7th highest out of 12 belts). I almost got that 540 today, but some guy goes and yells 'DUDE, CAN YOU TEACH ME EE JANG?' and I basically fell out of the air. Keep posting,
  5. Just something else to add on to that, I'm looking for another form of Martial Arts to do as well as TKD. I've considered Karate, but I dunno. Any suggestions? Keep posting,
  6. Welcome! Keep posting,
  7. Welcome aboard both of you! Hope you love it on these forums. Keep posting,
  8. If I were to use a chain as a weapon, I'd just hold it at both ends and swing it around and deal a series of attacks. Probably attacks to the side or face would hurt the most. Keep posting,
  9. So are you doing this form to music? Because if you do, just try out some random things, and see what flows with the music. But in my creative forms, I always have a bunch of open hand techniques, backfists, and tiger and back stances. Those always look good if used right. But thats true for everything. Keep posting,
  10. Thank you all! The people here are so nice! I hope to have a good time on these forums. Keep posting (something I add to the end of my every post),
  11. Yeah. Considering I'm a red-belt in TKD, I might not get it that fast. I did it once or twice, but pulled my muscle real bad. Thanks for your tips, and thank you for welcoming me to the forums! Keep posting,
  12. Me. A young student of TaeKwonDo, I have only been practicing for 7 or so months. We have a growing center, and I believe I changed the school when I came in. My masters, 4th Degree George, 5th Degree Joen, and 8th Degree, Grandmaster Kyung Won Kim, are probably the best teachers. The one who really brought me up when I first joined, was Movie Actor, also 1st Degree Black Belt, Kenneth Goodrich. He is the one I always help out when he's teaching, also because he has an easy class to teach. I really love my school, and I am looked up to by hundreds of students. That is me. Keep posting,
  13. I've got a little late of a response, but I hope I help. Sa Jang introduces Back Fist Attack, Side Kick, Double Fist Block (? about the name), Double Knife Hand, and something else which I don't know the name of. Oh yeah, and Outer Block, I think. Hope I helped a bit. Keep posting,
  14. I actually prefer the Taegeuk system, as it is the one that my school practices. But the Chon-Ji system seems interesting. I'll try that one sometime. Keep posting,
  15. Any tips towards landing this difficult kick? I actually did it once but pulled a leg muscle and have refrained from trying it again. This is my first post here and I hope I'm doing it right. Keep posting,
