  1. Figure out what triggers you to wanna smoke, maby after you eat ? have idle time ? a few beers ? then (try) to find something to replace it. Eat something, practice your forms in your sparring gear, drink a big glass of water. I dunno I guess it depends on you and how long, much you smoke. I know it's really, really hard but don't give up, hang in there. Best of Luck !
  2. Mine came from a skit from the early Saturday Night Live. Glida Radner, Bill Murray, James Belushi.
  3. Where do I start ? Accept Scorpions Savatage D.R.I. jus to name a few.
  4. Great thread, lotta difference here so far at 3rd brown I have Statue of crane, 1st of two man soft fist, and combinations 1 thru 18 and 26, twentysix kempo's or one steps, Pinyons 1-5, katas 1-4, and knife and club defences. Our school is also introducing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu so we have ground defence as well. So far I have been with our school for allmost seven years, lotta cool folks that have become family, I love Kempo/Kenpo !
  5. I like to get outside as much as I can, mountaineering, fishing, shooting my bow, talking on my radio, bmx'ing, anything outside !
  6. I have to wear both, but I figure im either going to take them off or not be given time to put in contacts if it were a street situation.
  7. Oh yeah, a multi vitamin, fish and flax oil, aminos, extra vitamin C and B complex, creatine, some capsuled chinese herbs, lots of whey isolate, and sometimes a pre-workout. They work for me so yeah the're worth it.
  8. Plum Dragon Herbs has some really jow, I made a half gallon from ingredient kits they also sell. The Jeet Kune Do really works wonders, I've given it to some friends with severe arthritis and they cant get enough of it !
  9. I've been practicing American Shaolin Kempo for prolly six years now and I really enjoy it, now we are known as Open Hand Kempo which is going to add Jiu jitsu sometime soon. I say go for it, you're going to like it alot !
  10. Tiger claw, crab, eagle claw, leppards paw, bears paw, and cranes beak all have their place (and time) in our style. block, parry, divert and striking, no loss of motion, im pretty confidant they'll work fine in a street situtation.
  11. Never wore a tux, but I can tell you about BDU pants,..make sure to cut some drain holes over the leg ties. when I was a kid I was running from a group of kids who beat me up and took my bike, I ran through a ditch full of water when my pant legs filled with water..I got myself beat down again.
  12. Remember to cut some drain holes in the legs of your BDU's if you wear'em.
