just don't get hooked on it playing with real money. gambling = bad! I used to work for an internet cafe and our store had problems with the electricity always blowing a circuit. One time our electricity went out and a guy ended up losing 2000 bucks because he couldn't finish the game.

wow you got it too kez? I guess it's more common than i thought. Do either of you, Shotokan-Kez or Karatekid1975 ever have the experience of going in a highly elevated place like an airplane or mountain and have your ears pop violently and causing pain to the point where you feel like shouting out, but after the pain subsides it's the most relieving feeling ever? lol....i can't explain it well if you haven't experienced it i guess lol.......but man when it does happen, it hurts for a few seconds but after that i can hear so much better and there's NO RINGING.......but after a while it comes back and my hearing goes to crap again.

i think i fractured my wrist maybe 4 or 5 years ago but i never saw a doctor for it. Not really sure what happened to it, but I ended up punching a wall several times, and when i stopped, my wrist hurt like hell and the bone was sticking out a little more than usual. It doesn't hurt like it did anymore but it does hurt like i'm getting arthritis or something now. Plus that bone still sticks out more than it did before the incident.

hey i have that same thing. My hearing isn't as good as most of the people i know. Man it's fricken irritating and i hate it. When i'm in a quiet place, the ringing drives me nuts.......as in like literally. I have to start making noises by either banging or tapping on something or i start humming to myself or else the ringing just gets louder and louder. All of this crap because my god damn mom kept screaming at me my whole life.

is it wado ryu? I think i took wado ryu as a kid and it sounds kinda like the shodan test that i took. Although i failed it 3 times because at 12 years old and not even wanting to be there, i had no defense at all and failed the kumite.

I think if the group is close, then punishing the group will be beneficial. If there are 1 or more people disrupting the class, and everyone else knows they're going to get punished for it, they will try to help you maintain order so they won't get punished. Plus it will add the guilt factor to the ones causing a disruption and they will think twice about causing disruption because they will know that everyone will suffer otherwise. OR it will just tick the rest of the class off and then after you get everyone to do push ups, you begin kumite and have the disruptive ones go first against 10 consecutive opponents or something lol.

basically it is displaying this persons ability to kick rather high even though he is only a white belt. -
when i get my hair cut, it's cut all around kinda short....with some bangs in the front that i usually comb back. I think... Not too good with the hair lingo.

u probably have but you call it something different heh Nope. I know what it is, and have never sat they way for any time longer than, say, 20 seconds. wow...did your class not do it?? or you just didn't want to?

I'm curious to know how old everyone who visits this forums is. I'll start off i guess. I'm 24.

I guess i'll just start taking classes once i get everything in order. Then stop if i feel it's starting to get to dangerous and start up again once i figure out how to get insurance.
-
good luck

what are u accused of?
-
if it was life threatening then you probably would, but then you'd be in major debt.

I dunno how it works in other countries but in the US it's very important to have health insurance. Which sucks for me cause I DONT HAVE IT. Was that even a consideration when you guys was making the decision to take MA? Broken bones would suck if you have to pay 1000s of $$$ with no insurance help...

well yea...i started at age 7 and i didn't have problems with it till my last year at age 12. At 12, i could still seiza but it hurt after about 5 - 10 minutes on my right ankle... however my left ankle could handle no prob back then.
-
so while in your MA class did you sit in seiza or did u sit cross legged until you started slimming down a bit? because as it is right now, i can't sit in seiza AT ALL...it's much too painful. I can't even sit with my back straight. I have to lean forward a bit to not let my full weight on my ankles and even then i can only stay in that position for a few seconds.

man this sucks... i've been thinking about getting back into karate for weeks and so i started to practice kicks and punches just to see where i stand after not training for 12 years.....and all this time that i've been practicing that stuff, i just realized last night after trying it.....that i can't even seiza anymore! so embarrassing! My hamstrings and calves have too much fat in them and my body weight makes it too painful on my ankles to sit in seiza. I can't believe it... To those of you who started MA later in life (as in 21+ yrs old), was it hard to seiza at first? and did it get easier with time?
