I'm considering studying Kung Jung Mu Sul in one of his schools over the summer to see if I like it... Anyone else heard of him or the "International Kung Jung Mu Sul Federation?"
I also agree... I just reached Cho Dan last year, and since then, I've learned more than I did in my entire 9 years of training. I'm not sure why, but it probably has to do with the difference in mindset.
Ahh... If he's talking about tricking, I do that too. A good site to visit is TricksTutorials.com. I personally can only land 540, 720, btwist, 3splitkick, and bicycle...
I agree with Aefibird, definately keep practicing, and if your school teaches forms of meditation, utilize them to calm yourself should you become nervous as the test comes nearer. And do yourself a favor, don't eat a ginormous meal right before the test, otherwise you'll feel sluggish and won't think as fast. Hope that helps.
Jeebs, if you sign up, you'll pay alot less than the students do at my school... it's about $125 US dollars per month for unlimited attendance or something like that. We're quite expensive. . I could be wrong about that number, though, I don't pay much attention to what the students pay... I just teach and and do 540's and 720's like a maniac most of the time.
Yeah... The majority of people in my experience who dis styles of martial arts seem to be either arrogant disciples of another style who think their system is better than everyone else's, or people who really know nothing about the style at all, and are trying to look cool by dissing it around their buddies.
People can talk trash about anything they want, but just know that they most likely have never really studied the art(s) that they're dissing. In most cases, I find that when I ask people questions about HKD when they're dissing it, that they tend to back down and admt they don't know much about it other than that a friend told them it was lame.
Hmm, that's interesting. I've seen demo vids of the Hapkido guys from the IHF HQ in Korea, and they're awesome, but I suppose that's what they train for, so it would make sense that they are.
I'm new here, and I was wondering if anybody else around here practices Hapkido, and if they do, what variation. (Sin Moo, IHF, etc.) Yeah, so let me know. -M P.S. I'm a 1st Dan in IHF Hapkido Under Master Jino Kang and Grandmaster Myung Sung Kang.
