  1. i got nothing for you
  2. thanks a bunch for the help
  3. I signed it for you good luck on you venture
  4. How exactly do you meditate i have never found it possible to clear my mind that much except when I sleep
  5. I was wondering if any one new a good site to go to so i could find info on the ata I am mainly looking for forms and what not that I could use so i can startworking out again here at home when I quit I was a first degree and would just like to start working out again
  6. Just looking for a book review or two the books are called The Sword and The Mind and Secrets of the Samurai let me know if they are any good
  7. Well I guess doing them everyday is ok if you never want to have your muscles recover fully. I think if you look into it you will find that a muscle group needs to have at least 24 hrs rest to allow your muscle tissue to recover and rejuvinate that is how it increases in size. I could be wrong
  8. You Know what steams me? The fact the the movies make martial arts look like they are so easy to learn when in fact they are not. It takes time to learn this, and I think that it makes younger people think that hey one day they are normal the next week they can do it all Amazing. What does everyone else think.
  9. Good now that is a word that can mean so much to so little. Is it good meaning is it a style that allows you to get more and more involved and teaching some of the most beautifl forms possible That I have seen at least then yes it is good. It allows you to learn some amazing techniques that are awesome to view. Now would I rely on it solely in a fight. Well I am not sure I would rely on any one thing in a fight. Nature says survival of the fitess. Who is to say anything else.
  10. Why would you want to climb into the ring with a mammoth of a man like that for anyway. I believe that he probably eats more in one sitting than I weigh and I am a hefty boy. 5'10" 265. I believe that in my few years that I have on me I would take aim at about 100 yards and solve the problem with a 3.76 caliber. Sorry even if I am a little crazy I am certainly NOT stupid. Kick back one time bro.
  11. I believe that I was able to use and this may sound weird but the focus that I learned in both football and wresteling. I started participating in these two sports before I ever participated in TKD. And in both of these wrestleing more so than football you learn how to focus on your opponent. Think about it, it is just you against the other person you have to attack and then learn a weakness as you go. I don't care what any coach says its not a team winning games it is individuals who at the same time compete against other individuals to overcome one on one no matter what sport. Personal opinion of course
  12. Well if you are going to start throwing stuff like muscle and brain into the situation then doesn't it just come back to the old saying mind over matter? Cause truely I believe that if someone looks bigger than me then I am going to find a way to equal it out some how.
  13. I am not sure if this even a good answer but I think that it really doesn't matter tall or short the advantage I think lies in the experience of the person and not to metion how mad one person gets. Anger can play a strong roll in any fight. Besides I have seen some short people who have the range to fight outside and tall people who need to be in close.
  14. I am new at this posting thing, and I haven't been in martial arts for several years, however I am a 1st degree in the ATA style of Taekwondo. I was just wondering what others thought of the benefits that martial arts provide for other sports like football or wresteling. I personally have competed in all three of the sports and found that the balance and self control that it provides became a major benefit for the other sports. Who ever else would like to chime in on this is more than welcome let me know what you think. Scott
