  1. I rarely hit myself in the head, but as for my groin thats a another story. But you can if your just arent paying attention to what you doin. My advice to everyone when your done practicing you Kata I suggest you drop the Nunchaku.
  2. Ball Bearing Chain for me. I dont know but what so special about either one? Is the rope cord better or what?
  3. My name is Jason(NeoDanteX) Im from Detroit, Michigan And Im interested in learning JKD, and other forms of self-defense. Im teaching myself weapons katas such as Bo, Nunchaku and Kendo I hope to succeed in one of these styles---- And Is it me or does it seem to be nothing but Karate school around. Where are the schools that teaches Kung-fu? Like Wushu, or Tai Chi--- And thanks for welcoming me^_^
  4. I think the best protection to wear while practicing Nunchaku is a cup. Ive hit myself three times in the groin with my chucks and good thing there here foam. So if you can, wear a cup, I wouldnt worry about hitting yourself in the face or in the head because believe hitting down there is so much worse-lol. Speaking of which, Does anyone know a good Nunchaku Training Video's??????
  5. Just recently I bought A foam Bo staff from AWMA and Im trying to teach myself. The problem is that I have not a clue of what Im doing, I do, but then I really dont but. But anyway, I stay in Detroit and there no school Local that teaches how to use the Bo. Can anyone give advice on the things I should connsider, and will Videos/DVDs help...if so which one.
  6. I bought this book a month ago... At first I was really in to reading it. But latly I stop cause Im always at work. But yeah, its a great book-A must buy for any JKD practioner.
  7. Im about 2 1/2 inchs from the floor, but thats with my legs going side ways. But from one leg in front in a one the back and cant do it for nothing. Me being a big guy I surprise myself of how low I can get. This just so happens to be something I work on every other day. Stretching really is relaxing and painful-lol.
  8. My first weapon was recently the Nunchaku now Im workin with a Bo and Bokken. Hopefully I will be skilled with a Nunckaku, Bo and Kendo. I just wish I had sparring partner.
  9. Round house for me....But I really trying to get the back and side kick down.
