  1. the best for kumite, kata, training is hirota pinack 1 tokon sovereign cause if you put the tokaido NST (or hayate ..??) and shuredio mugen, you have to put hirota and sovereign (even if tokon does not use the same fabric than japanese brand)
  2. I am 5'9'' 160 lbs.. this Gi is perfect for 5'8 to 5'10'' 170-190 lbs.. I can ship from MAine or Canada (quebec) , offer??
  3. hi, I just bought a WKF approved new wave 3, size 5 1/2.. too big for me, wore 45 minutes, wash one time if someone is interested let me know thanks
  4. hi, I would like to know if the shureido new wave 3 is very heavy, I know the fabric is poly-cotton or something like that.. but I dont want a too heavy dogi... I really like my hirota pinack, but I want something heavier for kata and teaching.. or maybe you know the tokyodo AT-3 anyway thanks for your help J
  5. yes.... but it depends , here in US, we have many many cheap company
  6. yes, for exemple, in tokaido or hirota my size is #7 and in tokon/kamikze I wear size 5 1/2
  7. why???? almost everybody in japan do that!!
  8. yes, but it's pretty cheap.... Tokaido, shureido and hirota are the best.. the martials arts was in Japan before in the USA..... Shureido factory is in Okinawa, the birthplace of karate!!!

  10. yeh....but silver do that too.... and I think silver looks better
  11. Quality Gi...it's not with pro force or century!!
  12. Sorry, I added ''Belt'' it's about a belt!!!
  13. Hi everybody, I saw in Japan, many japanese with a Golden brown (amber) embroidery on their belts, it seems to be a very popular color in Japan..... but in America and Europe, that color is also popular?? what is your favorite color???
  14. well i do not wash mine due to two things. one is tradition and the other is that there's a new fad out there that if you wash your black belt it will fade and fray faster, which apparently is the new 'look' for martial artists. people opinions on not washing them due to tradition is different and that's all well and good, not washing it is just the way i do it. i work very hard during classes and have had my black belt for many years and have not had a problem with smell that some people talk about, so if you dont have to then i wouldnt risk it. yes, it will shrink slightly but hardly much at all prob like a quarter inch, if that. and yes, the color will start to fade, referring back to that whole 'fad' thing. you can absolutely wash a cotton belt, but satin, i wouldnt, i'd hand wash that and hang dry at the most. but good luck with whatever you chose to do. about washing a belt..... it's just a myth, in japan almost everybody (sensei, master etc) wash their belt after the training, in okinawa too.... it's a myth like the belt touching the floor etc!!!
