  3. thanks all
  4. thanks. my axe kick is quite high, it my side kick I want to improve on, so I will give it a try.. Cheers
  5. Hi, I started TKD as I am a 1st dan black belt in karate and still can't kick very high, and I know TKD is a good martial art for high kicks. But I don't seem to be getting any better and my instructor can't kick very high either, and says it's not import how high you can kick it's more about style and power (which is probably true). I have bought a very good book about stretching but it says in there that even if you can do the splits you still may could not be able to kick high, also there is a guy at our club who's not very flexible at all (he is miles off doing the side splits, he can't touch his feet with his legs straight) but he can kick higher than anyone else I know from cold.. please advise how I can get my kicks higher.. (don't tell me I can't, I'll cry) Cheers Daz
  6. sorry I like vodka far too much to chuck it all over my kit.
  7. thanks for all your advise. I don't think you can get lysol in the UK but I'm sure there will be something similar. I'm affraid that is the mistake I have been making, putting my sweaty stuff in a bag and in a cupboard. (oh dear) i'll give it all a good cleaning tonight and buy some anti bacterial spray. Cheers Guys
  8. yep I think a cool wash is the only answer.. Cheers
  9. I've tried that.. it doesn't seem to help to much..
  10. Hi all, Has anyone got any tips to stop my gloves (and feet pads, head etc..) from smelling. I competed in the british TKD open champs on sunday (and got 2nd for sparring and 3rd for patterns..yippee) but my kit stinks.. Any ideas?? Cheers Darren
  11. used the oxi stuff, came up a treat.. cheers guys..
  12. cool, cheers for that, I'm not sure if we can get Iron out in the UK but I've got some oxi-clean, I'll give that a whirl, and if it shrinks again i'll just have to buy a new one.. Loking at it now I thought i'd have to buy a new one anyway..
  13. I leave mine to the wife, but she has shrunk it, and now she is scared to wash it on a hot wash incase it shrinks anymore and it's starting to go yellow, is it too late for this suit do you think or can I get it white again??
  14. I broke 2 ribs last year and it still doesn't feel right, I do still train but I'm nervous about taking a good whalloping. Someone once said if you break a bone it grows back stronger, I think this is rubbish myself, I don't think my ribs will ever be the same again. Sorry about been negative but I think your in the same boat as me. I'm considering buying rib protectors??
  15. the worst I have recieved is 2 broken ribs.. and i have not managed to cause no real pain to anyone else, a few roundhouses to the head but no real injureys..
