I was just wondering since its pretty big (about 500 competitors). My TKD school hosts it. Im just wondering if anyone else knew of it

I am 13 years old (almost 14) and i just acheived my 1st dan blackbelt. I have heard some people say that only adults should have bbs. I am just as good if not better then some of the adults who i tested with. What is your opinion on the age of a blackbelt?

I acheived my first dan blackbelt at 3 years of training. I am 13 years old. I dont think i would've been ready at any other time and i was getting a little tired of a high red belt ( i had it for 9 months). I know a girl wgo had some problems commiting and stayed one belt for a whole year and then another belt for another year. She had taken Taekwondo for 5 years!

Definantly WTF. It is much better then ITF. I just got my 1st degree bb and im already taking instructor classes and they're awesome!!!

That is an absolutly untrue and disrespectful thing to say. Master Partridge is one of the nicest people i know. My fellow students are too. Thatnkyou for the comment about being good at sparring

at my school, you are permitted to wear a uniform with a black colar upon acheiving blackbelt status

I study at United TKD academy, the only school in North Carolina that has turned out olympic competitors. In fact, on of our students won a bronze in the Junior olympics in aruba last week. I train under 6th degree black belt and 2 time national coach of the year Barry Partridge

I mean, to test for your 1st dan blackbelt in our school, you have to know the Taeguek poomses. Once you have your probation blackbelt you learn the Koryo poomse and then get tested on it for your real blackbelt.

We have to wear the probational belt for 6 months then we are tested on our Koryo poomse and we then get our belts with writing

I Paid $500 for my 1st dan blackbelt test.

I tested for my 1st degree blackbelt last night. We did all the blocks and stances you could imagine up and down the floor. we did self defense and we did 4 breaking techniques and we did endurence. and all of our poomses. we started at 6 and finished at 11

I just tested for my 1st Dan Blackbelt in TKD. I passed but we have to wear a blackbelt with a white stripe down it for 6 months before we get our belt with our names on it and everything. does anyone else have to do that? also, how do you get a belt avatar?
