Hey guys, KaratePballer here. As you might've been able to guess, I am not only a karate martial artist but one of my hobbies is paintball. I've been taking Shotokan karate for about 1.5 months and I'm soaking it all up! Nick
well theres (imo) a great book called "More Fighting Karate". It's by Hideyuki Ashihara and its centered around his form of karate, Ashihara Karate. I picked it up after about a month of starting martial arts and it was a great addition for me. The graphic supplements it provides make the visual learning fairly easy to grasp. Hideyuki Ashihara's main "theme" if you will of Ashihara Karate is learning how to deflect an opponent's attack so that you can attack him from the side or the back. i found it at borders.com just type in ashihara karate if you want to learn more about the book. nick
Hey guys well this is my first topic and I've had a question on my mind for a while. I started Shotokan Karate about a month ago and ever since then, one question that I have pondered repeatedly is if you guys feel like through martial arts your reflexes have sharpened and/or your 5 senses heightened? This has always been somewhat of an interest of mine and any insight would be appreciated. Thanks Nick
