White Belt

White Belt (1/10)

  1. Hi everyone Just wondering if anyone knew where i could get some thai style shin instep protectors as im finding it extremely hard for me to find some which fit as im only about 150 centimetres Any help would be greatly appreciated
  2. Im just wondering what muscles are used when doing push ups.
  3. In Zen Do Kai it goes - White Blue Blue 1 Black Tip Green Green 1 Black Tip Green 2 Black Tips Brown Brown 1 Black Tip Brown 2 Black Tips Black But next year the syllabus is changing and we are having a yellow and orange belt introduced
  4. Sohan would you say this is a good way to get stamina up??
  5. I also forgot that we do 100 sit ups and 100 push ups and 5 self defences against a jab punch
  6. Wow i cant believe how easy our black belt grading is compared to everyone elses. We have to do everything we have learnt since we started (punches, kicks, knees and elbows), 4 katas and 10 rounds of sparring
  7. Thanks guys. Next main belt is black belt but i have a year to go before that.
  8. Well guys i passed my grading. Thanks for all your help
  9. Thanks for all your tips guys. I started doing endurance training months ago but i think im extra nervous about this grading as we have one of the best martial artists (from my style)in our country coming to observe our grading.
  10. I'm going for my brown belt in two weeks and ive been told i have to do 8 rounds of sparring and also some bag work does anyone have anygood tips which could prepare me for this. Thanks
  11. Hi guys i just got a punching bag and speedball and im wondering if anyone knew any routines which will help me improve. Thanks Steph
  12. Im currently learning Tensho and have a question about the two mawashi's. I have been told that in the mawashi's the top hand is "wiping the face" (palm facing towards me) and the bottom hand "wiping the blackboard" (palm facing outwards). I was just wondering if this is the correct way to do a mawashi as it doesn't feel right.
  13. Does anyone here know how you can measure how much body fat you have? Thanks
