  3. As I roam through many MA forums on the net, style vs style debates always seem to exist. I would like the members of this forum, to contribute or describe what the so-called 'perfect' style of MA would incorporate. Surely if we add all the strengths of all existing MA's we could come up with something...i don't know...'perfect'. Long story short, what would the perfect style of MA incorporate, in your mind.

  9. It's all about your attitude. You have to be able to motivate yourself and strive to become a better martial artist. Know that you have to push yourself if you want to become better. If you find yourself sitting back during kumite you need to get angry at yourself, its the only way you will progress. Remember,plain and simple, defence cannot win you a fight. Either on the street or in the dojo, if you are not on the offense and are just trying to defend everything that is thrown at you, you are going to lose. You know what they say, offense is your best defence. -ben.
  10. 59 katas...thats kinda silly when you think about it. Taykyoku Sono Ichi, Ni, San Pinan Sono Ichi, Ni, San, Shi, and Go Yantsu Tsuki No Sanchin Gekisai Dai Gekisai Sho Tensho Saifa Seinchin Kanku dai Garyu Seipai Sushiho 20 of em. Thats all of the kata my style does (kyokushin) and i wouldn't like too many more than that. I know all these kata except seipai, garyu and sushiho. Am currently learning kanku dai.
  11. what about suicide runs? Up and back and up and back the dojo, great for fitness! then at the end do some pushups!
