  1. It depends on what time you come.
  2. I agree with you on the website. It needs serious help! White Warlock, I hope one day if you are ever in the Frankfort area. Come on in for a visit. Be glad to have you.
  3. There are two Mason. There is the son (the one you guys are talking about ) and then there is his dad (the one I am talking about). Confusing ain't it? (whoever found the website, cool and thank you) Someone asked about the backgrounds and other things. Grandmaster Mason studied in Korea, Japan, and China (Kung-fu, TKD, and other system which has escaped my brain). He used different formats, movements, and styles to create Che-lu. So Che-lu was created solely by Grandmaster Mason. Here is the website for Che- lu maybe in can be more help than I am giving now. http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Game/5011/
  4. Sorry for responding so late. Someone wanted to know a little bit more about Che-lu, so here you are....enjoy! C is for charity. We must have love not only for the art, but for all those who are artist and those who non-artist. H is humbleness. It is something we should strive for daily. Being means you respect those who are in athority over you. E is empowerment. To be empowerment is to acknowledge in a greater being L is for leadership. We strive to be leaders in our job, at home, and whevener the need arises U is for unity. For without unity, nothing can exist.
  5. This article was great. I know alot of people downgrades those who are Christians in the martial arts. I think it lack of knowledge and afraid they may like it themselves. Thank you for this article. I am going to share it with those in my do-jo.
  6. I know some of you are wondering, what in the world is Che-lu? So here is a little info for you. Che-lu was created in 1975 by Grandmaster John W. Mason in Dover, NH. From there he started schools in Maine, Texas, Wisconsin, NH, and in Kentucky. We are in the newly formed PUMAA league. So we are looking forward to start the new leauge and season. If you are in these area, or ever in the state of Kentucky we invite you to come and check us out.
  7. I am not familiar with circuit training. What is it? It sound interesting.
  8. Ok, here are my goals 1. To gain speed 2. To lose weight 3. To become more flexible 4. To tone and strengthen my body.
  9. I have hit myself the the bo before (I was learning the strikes in our system). The best way I have found out is to keep the bo close to the side of you body. Hope this helped some!
  10. First of all, I salute all black belts who read this post. Second, hi to all other belts and hi to all who read this. I have read most about how some train in here, it is different from male and female. So, being female, I need a females prospect to it. How you train? What are some of the techniques you use to enhance your proformance?
  11. The system I practice is Che-lu. It is an American Karate system developed by Grandmaster John Mason. I think once you have found a system stick with it, but also learn of other systems and respect them as well.
  12. This article was good. I am a Christian and a martial artist. I enjoy being with my dojo brothers and sisters. My personal opinion is if you feel uneasy with bowing, speak to the instructor (in a calm mannor), then something maybe worked out.
  13. Does anyone have a good training regement they use. I trying not only to be more flexible, gain more speed, and lose more weight. Any help would be greatful. thank you in advance.
