-
one person whouseto be aprat of my currentdojo one wrote something inappropiate on a Jujitsu school flyer but luckly in the end he got kick out for multiple reasons and we ended up becoming good friends with that school they even invited us to their belt testing which we enjoyed
-
question im not trying to be rude but do some martial art schools encourage ppl to go out and challenge other dojo's or are these ppl just bad practitioners cause there are lots or ppl when we do randori (sparring) that come after me (and i always look at my sensei to make sure i got the go ahead to kill his ego before he hurts someone) because i got a BB in japan

use an umbrella like a katana or a stick

Straight sword its the only one i know how to use and was taught when i did kung fu
-
we have that weapon in taijutsu all i know is that its a stick with a round metal end extremly heavy so u need to use your body and legs to use it. i hope i get a chance to train with it masybe next time i go to nihhon
-
i train in weapons cause it helps with empty hand form and movements but also u should learn to see wat u can use as a weapon around you
-
i feel there is a certin connection with other martial artist like a brother hood and it seems like we all can connect on a higher level
-
but wait i saw punches and kicks oh wait im not transendent enough with my primitive martial arts darn
Know wat would be funni if it was all true man i would feel stupid lol
-
Takamatsu, Bruce Lee (of course), Massaki Hatsumi, Toshiro Nagato, and my current teachers
-
good old new york city with jerks around every coner lol nice work
-
the thing is with kuji they dont really teach it to any one i know ske doesnt teach it and buddhism and shinto u have to be at a certin level to be taught it knowing the hands signs is well and good cause anyone can do it but actually invoking this "power" is dangerous if u have been taught properly thats why they said study buddihism, shintoism, and taoism cause, in ninjutsu they dont really teach everyone

Effectiveness vs. Flashiness
XMA is all flash. There is nothing effective about doing a windmill to knock out your opponent. And I will say the same about wushu as well.
BTW Too bad Sandra Hess isn't pretty in the face, if she was she'd have a wonderful career in Holywood. The next female Van Damne?
ive seen and my friends laugh at this clip alot (i love the ax kick to the throught) frist off the Karate guys we just better i had nothing to do with the style in the streets i used wushu/ Kung fu alot its effective belive me its just that those guys werent that good and it looked more like they just picked kungfu guys out of nowhere for a tv show now saying that i never taken karate (sad i know) but is that even a kata that she was doing cause i never seen a karateka do that cause she had capoeria and wushu kicks in it

remeber your training
-
well me being kinda of a nerd on pro wreseling there it depends oon wat kind u fight a hogan type person u laugh and walk away, Bret heart type u r in for a fight cause they know actual submissions and how to apply the submissions then hardcore be ready to fight dirty and there to be blood and face a guy who can take a beating
-
your best bet to learn kuji is to become a buddhist or study shintoism that all it is all it is from what i understand (which is most likely wrong) that it is used as a way to concentrate while meditating usally ppl learn it when they get to a certin point in their Buddhist studies
-
thanks guys for the great feedback sunday in our black belt class it was just me and him and man was that akward but like they say keep training so i ignored it and learned something now from the experience
-
I wanna ask ppl opinions on a situation
A guy who was promoted black with me in japan who seemed like a nice guy has let the color get to his head in fact he seems to advoid me and when my sensei ask me to work with a new person he takes that person away to feed his ego...now my problem is that he is a hazzrad no control and focuses on trying to hurt ppl with pure strength no technique he doesnt liek training with me cause i dont play into his game and prevent him from doing serious damage a give him his opening he is becoming brash and threnthen to break my arm at one black belt class and said he would kick my *Beep* (he cant though thats wats funny) any way what should i do as his senior to castize him or should i just ignore it
-
bad neigborhood for me but now im in a safer area i enjoy the training
-
i belive bruce lee in his book made the understanding of martial arts easier to the western world to understand i believe that at one point he writes that he's is revising things that have already been said by other martial arts masters i feel that Five rings is more spiritual and has alot of hidden meaning cause that seems to be the way japanese esspecially back then wrote i personally like both equally and can read them forever
-
yea i had the same problem conditioning does help if u want to take damage and for making ppl hurt more
