  1. Wushu is chinese word for Martial Art I believe.
  2. Most likely from oakland, considering thats where bruce lee started the first one.
  3. I don't know where all these "ninjas" that you speak of come from. I do not consider myself a ninja, even though I practice Ninjitsu. I have never seen anyone on this webiste claim to be an actual ninja. Anyone who has is lying. There aren't that many ninjitsu schools in the US so I don't know where they all come from. My neighbor teaches me Ninjitsu, he is from Iga, Japan. So its not like a school really. Many people do lie about being Ninja because, Ninja are so accomplished and feared, that people want to be them. If you would like to ask me any questions on this subject you can PM me or talk to me on AIM, my handle is TheComradical. I'm not very good at explaining things on the internet but I try, but if you notice, my english is pretty good!
  4. I would say that if you can barely throw a straight punch, or keep on guard properly, like he has previously stated, you shouldn't be thrown into a sparring situation with a 6 foot tall 225 pound black belt. But i dont want to argue with you, ShorinRyu Sensei, like i have done in the past.
  5. I would definately say you are being thrown in too fast. 6 inches taller and 125 lbs. heavier? Yeah that is definatly too fast in my opinion, though I'm not a teacher myself, so thats just my opinion. I'm thinking you should normally start out with someone at least your same weight/rank.
  6. If you can't avoid a fight all together, a front snap kick to the solar-plexus as hard as you can will bring the figh to a complete halt.
  7. First of all, I said, "if you know you can't beat them." This isn't what I would do, of course not, but if you can't fight then what to do? Also, I took 3 of those martial arts back when I was 12. I practice Iga Ryu Ninjitsu as of now. I guess I shouldn't include the others. Anyway, if you can fight multiple attackers, then go for it. If you can't, what are you gonna do? Fight? No. You would die. Run? Yes. But, if you find yourself back into a corner, what are you going to do? Curl up into a ball and pray? If you want you could. Or you could try some phsycological warfare and try to fend off the attackers by taking away there will to fight . But hey, if you can come up with something better for someone to do, who can't fight and is backed into a corner, then I'm all ears.
  8. Then if you dont think that would work, and if you know you can't beat them, fake a seizure. It works I just saw it on my local news station. A guy was being chased and he started faking a seizure and rolling around on the ground. I've never been attacked by more than one person so this is from a third-person point of view.
  9. Are you guys serious? Bite the nose off? Someone above me put that. Honestly do you think its that easy just to go up to someone and bite there nose off? They best way to end a fight is to leave. Period. You maay not look cool in front of your girl of whatever, but, whats cooler, being dead or alive?
  10. If you find yourself backed in a corner and you honestly feel like you can't fight your way out of it, I suggest making a weird face and start yelling things like, "YIPPY WOO-PAH YEEHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DIE!!!!!!!!!KUMINYEAHHA!!!! So basicly act crazy and start jumping everywhere. Start slapping your self and jump off the walls. It would scare me.
  11. I wouldn't stay and fight. Not good odds. I can run for a long period of time without tiring, I'm on the cross country team and I jump hurdles. SO i advise running. Just make sure you're faster then the attackers.
  12. Best way to end a fight? Leaving. It's hard to fight someone when they're not there.
  13. I think dancing is the only thing that should be done while drunk, martial arts, not that safe.
  14. When practicing a Drunken style, one is normally not drunk. The effect is to make one look drunk to throw off there opponent.
  15. Oh, how much I hate that man I swear if you think you know anything about being a ninjitsu by reading his books, then your gonna get seriously hurt. If you wanna read informational (I recommend not trying to learn a martial art instructions out of a book) books on the art, then read some of Stephen Hayes's books.
  16. Ok, so I was wrong, It's often reffered to as the death touch do to its extreme lethality. http://www.martial-arts-info.com/i/dim_mak.gif
  17. I think its chinese name is Liang-I (snake kung-fu). It involves absolutley no kicking. Good luck finding a place to train.
  18. I'm pretty sure Dim Mak, translated, means Death Touch. Doesn't really have anything to do with Acupuncture.
  19. Depp looks like Micheal Jackson. Long live Gene Wilder, if he's still living, which I think he is.
  20. My friends and I used to go boxing in this empty field and box, with gloves. It was actually kinda funny though. It all ended when I broke a kids nose. To this day I still feel horrible about it. Thats why I dont like fighting.
  21. There are losers and lesser losers...who wins in a street fight? The person who fends of there attacker and lives.
  22. You know what impresses my girlfriend is when I do pushups with her on my back
  23. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't XMA have a lot of Jump kicks and spins? It might not be so easy if your overweight.
  24. There is no cheaters in a street fight, only winners and losers.
  25. Well, I take traditional Iga Ryu Ninjitsu and I can tell you that modern day Ninjas are still in use, but not in the same way. To be a Ninja one must think for himself. To be a Ninja one must be a Warrior. To be a Ninja one also has to be able to own his enviroment and munipulate it to his advantage. I can tell you for a fact that a lot of the Ninjas in fuedal Japan were not Practioners of Ninjitsu. Now I practice Ninjitsu and I don't consider myself a Ninja per se because I would never Intentionaly hurt someone who is not hurting me. Now to finish what I was saying because I have no Idea were I am going with this I'll say that todays Modern Ninjas are Special Operators of the Military and CIA operatives because of the reasons previously stated.
