I am lucky anuf too study under grand msater clingan in tangsoodo. One of the first things he hade me do was go too other schools in my area and watch theam two see the difrence in our art and theres.I found that in the tkd schools in our area we nothing like tsd. thay use littile or no hands no self defince no ground woork and thear kicked were very looping. You could see theam coming and chabering once they got the kick off it was fast but it was so teligraphed you could stop it befor it got off. I have ben online and looked at many other tkd schools wourld wide and have yet too see one that resembeld tsd at leat the tsd i am taught. There for i dont belive tkd is tsd little brouth, But thean agen you can definetly see tsd influence in tkd.BUt wile it looks the same the tecnique is so very difrent. Dont get me rong i am not insulting tkd in any way i belave I have just seen bad schools and instructors.Hope this helped and sory for the bad grammer

It is simple in tkd in my experice with the art. There kick are just not strong anuf and there also too looping. Which in the grapling faverd ufc thay would ground meat. But as g95champ said thay would do better in k1. Pride thay would get ate alive. For you ufc fans tkd has ben in it befor ufc 5-9 cant rember wich ones but cal worshem fought. hes supsed too bee like a 6th dagree blacbelt it tkd. He went like 1 5 i think. His first fight was very inpresive he stoped guy by knock out other 2 fights i seen him in he got taped out if i rember right.

that is a very debated subject in the karate world. In my experince kenpo guys all say that kenpo is the best. I disagree i think no art is better thean the other. i believe it depinds on the person and the teacher. I aam lucky anuf too study under a true grandmaster. He tells us too be humbel and dont bad mouth any art. But the few times i have seen the kenpo guys in our area thay had loud mouths and bad tecnique. but my instrocter told me its not the art its the instructor. He says thear are great martalartest in ever styel you just have two find theam. the more i read abut kenpo it seems too be a great styel i prefer tangsoodo but thats because i take tangsoodo. in my art tangsoodo. we are taught too do bouth movements. we are also taught one counters the other. Thean agean we are bout a soft and hard styel in one. not much help but thats all i hace give

i dont mean 2 be rude but tkd is based of a styel of tsd and i have never see the sine wave in the styel i train in or the kuk soul studios in our area or the hapkido school around hear but thean agean thats the only korean styels ive see around hear only the tkd studios n my arwa use it

fisrt off tsd tridishonly is not flashy at all you can thank wourld tsd asoc for the flashyness add 2 it . secondly as a student of grandmaster clingan ther is a lot about the art i have ben abel 2 learn such as ther are i beliave 15 styles of tsd that i know of alone and none seem 2 be flashy 2 me and jasep is right all korean martal arts have influnece froum other art but if you go back 2 the histroy of martal art there are only 2 arts turly there oun and its savat and arnes all other are have strong influneces froum a budest monk who brought martal arts froum inda 2 china. and grandmaster hwang kee never studed in china its mith and he did not invint tsd he invinted the muduckkwan styel of tsd also i about kickng not beang usefull thats a joke it very usefull in the right situason i find i kick as much as i punch. also tsd and korean arts except tkd use many self defince tecneqes. in our studin we lear punching kiickng selfdefince meditation one steps and many many other tecniqes and i have been 2 many tkd studios and have never see one that i would go 2 thay all seem 2 be a waterd down verson of tangsoodo but i gureant thats becasue of the teacher teaching taekwondo in my area i am not insulting the art. well i hope helped sry about the bad grammer

well there are 2 many styles of karate 2 truly anser that queston but i train tangsoodo which is korean karate we have and insitante instuctor thats curintly a 4th dagree balck belt he was thelling me when he first cane 2 our scool he had 15years of kungfu unders his belt he cane in 2 our studio because he recintly moved 2 our area and herd we were prety good that was i thnk 13 years ago when i asked him y he didnt join another kungfu school he said whit 15years of exp i couldent last sparring wiht one the red belt in our class so he changed 2 tsd so that not really and anser 2 your question but i hope it helps

tkd is a sport karate based of off tsd. tkd uses many looping kicks were tsd hides theam tsd is much more tridishonal thean tkd there is much more emphises on hand tecniques and grapling in tsd than tkd. tkd teces you tecniqes that are tourament based wich in my ecpirace wont woork on the stree but thean agen it depinds on the teacher. tsd is trdishonal so thear for it has a lot of more infl;uinces than tkd youll find more tecniqes in tsd than tkd youll find you free spar a lot more intsd and its a lot more agreasive weel i hope this helps have studed tsd for about a year so there is a lot i dont know but this is what i nkow about the 2 art also ty for your time and sry about the spelling
