  1. 2. I think straight punches are the most natural hand attacks. I tend to swing my arms a little when I try uppercuts, so I practice.
  3. I'd say you should train about 45 minutes per day at home, if you're not going to your dojo on those days, and train 2-3 times a week at your dojo for 2 hours each time. When you train at your dojo, be sure to be very observant of your classmates and try to remember what you learned and what you need to improve on. Then, when you're training at home, do some stretches first, then practice the things that you need to improve on, and even some tactics that you saw your classmates use.
  4. For the Karate club I'm in (ShinkyokuShinkai), the belt system is as follows, from lowest to highest: White Orange Blue Yellow Green Brown Black (Lv. 1-6)
  5. I've practiced Karate for about two months and am currently an orange belt. I always liked the way that people who learn Karate use their entire body as a weapon instead of concentrating on just one part. I don't think I'll ever quit it.

    Kata?

Kata is something that's vital to increasing one's knowledge and understanding of combat. Firstly, kata improves your mind's reaction speed by combining all kinds of moves together (they're confusing at first). Secondly, by practicing kata you will be able to know what to do when your opponent does something.
  7. My belt also flies out after some vigorous training. It's completely natural. The most important thing is to tighten your belt on your pelvis' upper section, then tie the belt as tightly as possible so that you can breath properly and stretch well.
  8. I have two people I'd like to be trained by: One is Oyama Sosai, the master of ShinkyokuShinkai. Two is Bruce Lee. But I'm actually quite satisfied with my current Sensei, since I'm already learning a lot.
