White Belt

White Belt (1/10)

  1. I was thinking about taking Shotokan and Jeet Kune Do at the same time. Would this be a bad idea? I would love to spend hours each day training to become a black belt. However, i don't believe such schools exist giving free lessons to people who want to devote their life to training and then teaching with free room and board. *doesn't want marines* Would a person tired out if they trained 3 hours every day each week alternating between these types of martial arts? What do you think would be the most hours a person should spend a day training?
  2. I heard that jujitsu can be used in self defense and if you harm the other person using it, you are not liable for their injuries as stated in American law. Does anyone know more about this? Perhaps websites and links?
  3. I truly think that an old fighter would win. Why? Lost techniques, skill, training and movement. People trained since they were a child in the old days. People could kill and get away with it because there wasn't and type of DNA scanning. I think in a life or death situation, the old fighters would win. I think an old school ninja could kill a special ops soldier. Well, then you have to take in consideration the guys who faught in nam, they had ninja skillz themselves.
  4. That is the greatest answer i've recieved here anonymousone. Thank you for understanding. You see, i want to be able to take on multiple people and destroy them. I don't care about all this mumbo jumbo of taking it slow. I understand that training takes time but i want to destroy.
  5. Is ninjitsu an Okinawan art or shotokan? P.S. yeah i'm going to lean more towards street fighting. Sure it's nice to look pretty with art. Art is subjective. Life and death isn't, unless you're a zombie or catatonic. If i were to go for an art form, i would want to be able to defend myself against an offensive opponent that is dangerous, but with style. Perhaps jumping on my hands and walking on both of my hands and then kicking the person and just staying on my hands while fighting. Or else a something where i'm fighting but yet i'm dancing. I'm more interested in being able to defend myself in a street fight with the situation listed above in the previous post.
  6. I understand that it all takes time and skill and study. But which martial art has won more fights and tournaments in history with hardcore fighting? I just want to pick a good style so that I can take on multiple people at once that are attacking me with weaponary such as beer bottles, pipes, and a gun with it's barrel being pushed into the side of my temple.
