lets get some action in this thread again . I just washed my gi in 60 degrees (i think) with vannish oxy action and it wont turn all white. There are still stains of greyish on it, i just dont know what to do =( tips? And another question; how do you iron you gi??? My mom always folds my gi after washing it which results in "pressmarks" along sleves and legs, this i find very much annoying! Ive tried to iron them away but it jsut wont work =/ any tips here? (the gi is a kamikaze america, if it matters)

hehe ok, but who need their abs to show anyways? those were osme good warmups, now do you have any that we can do in groups? I think variation is apreiciated by the students
-
Lets help eachother by sharing some diffrent warmups, for both kids and adults. Ill start of with a game for the kids, You pair up 2 and 2 and line up at one side of the dojo. Now you do frogjumps over eachother to get to the other side, and then do the same thing back. Kids that ive tried this on thinks its fun, and they sure get a little bit more warmed up.

Im gonna have to ask you guys a question about #11 "does not take action if students have there Belt on the floor. " lets say your doing a drill, warm up or kata, and your belt falls of, would you stop doing what youre doing to pick it up and tie it again or would you wait untill you have the time too?

Insight on Double Promotion
Freddy replied to ItalianMuayThai's topic in Instructors and School Owners
Ive seen it done 2times in 1.5years first time when I and my cousin graded first time, we skipped 9th kyu and went directly to 8th, this becaus we started some time before all the other begginers and we knew everything well enogh. Second time was when I graded from 7th kyu and skipped 6th and became 5th. I dident even know i was doublegrading i just found out afterwards. I see no reason to why it shouldent be done, unless belts in your organisation are timebased. -
I get the same feeling after a new belt. Maybe becaus it makes me work harder to get the next belt? or maybe i feel like there is something i havent been able practice as much as i would have wanted to? I just got my blue belt, i think everything went great, except the left yokogeri. The thing is, if you have a good sensei and she/he passed your grading, then you shouldent worry. Your sensei obviusly thinks that your worth your grade and if there is something missing you will get to work on it for the next grading. Or maybe its becaus yellow is clearly the hotest color and you just feel like you wanted to save the best for last.

First blue (5 kyu) <<<

kibadachi, kidari empi

Think of it like this. When you watch other people perform their katas, do you really look at them and "care" if they do anything badly or totaly wrong? Atleast i dont and i figured that most people probobly dont so there is really no need to worry.
