  1. Hey- busling has it right on. To add a few, face the point of contact and train to use two arms at the same time. The thing about wing chun, is that you'll get different answers from almost anyone you talk to. That can be good and bad. Busling- I noticed you're in the Hung Suen Wing Chun group over there in Australia. Is that Sifu Rick Spain's organization by any chance, as I'm familiar with his reputation. If it is, do you know if he has any instructors over here in the States? Peace
  2. Hey everyone- Just wanted to hear on anyone's experience in using their kung fu in a street fight. Or, has anyone sparred with good boxers/kickboxers/grapplers and how did you fair? Any feedback would be great. Thanks Peace
  3. Hey everyone- I found a good school in my area that teaches BJJ and takedowns. I'm supposed to go to my first class tomorrow. For you experienced grapplers out there, how long did it take you to become proficient, both on the ground but also taking people down and defended against the takedown? I've done both MT and wing chun for a while, and am pretty confident in my stand up skills. I want to get to the point where I can be proficient on the ground, and maybe even have some control over whether I keep it standing or go to the ground. I appreciate anyone's advice or experience they have with grappling. Peace-
  4. Hey everyone- I joined up on this forum to try and find some training partners in my area. If you live in or around Raleigh, NC and would be interested in training write me at eadragon21@yahoo.com. I currently train in wing chun and would love to work out with some people from other styles. Peace, Andrew
