  2. everything people are saying is good also try "closing him" i'am not sure of you style but i'am sure they have one, try this when he throws a left jab use a left inside middle block holding his arm he will not be able to hit you or "close him" this leavse him very open to your right hand or foot, step in useing a ridge hand and sweep to floor, then your finish> just keep him closed .

    can anyone tell me what exactly bunkai means , i mean how do you explain a kata ? or is it that you just say this is a low block to block a kick this is a high block to block a punch ? what are sensei's looking for? thanks for any help.

This is to much to list but i'm a white belt in shitoryu and i know 5 katas and working on a 6th they are shihono , kihon kata ni , kihon kata go, heian shodon, heian nidan and i'm working on chino kata i've been working on them for awhile and i'm very good , will be testing soon and hope to learn more but to get your black belt it will take about 20 to 25 katas.
  5. can anyone tell me the difference between shito-ryu and shito-kai?
