  1. But what about timeframes; how long do i lift for? how many times do i lift? do i lift everyday? I basically have no prior knowledge of this type of thing before. I am but a mere novice. Thank you

  3. My forearms are skinny to the bone; i can fit most of my fingers round my wrist so i'm going to lift some weights to make them bigger. I have decided to use things at home for my weights as i can't afford to buy them, so a few bricks from the garage or bottles of liquid will do! Thing is, i don't know how many 'lifts' to do or when to stop lifting them. Does the burning mean you stop or keep going? And how often do i do the excercises for and when do i stop? P.S. I'm 29 so not a boy who's still to grow! Thank you
  4. I remember the scene when mr miyagi and daniel san were out on the boat and daniel is practicing his balance and mr miyagi rocks the boat and makes him fall while shouting 'balance daniel san' and bursts into laughter Well i found it funny RIP
  5. I had a lightweight gi and wanted a heavyweight so ended up getting a 16 oz canvas gi and it is solid - like cardboard! It's not as good as i thought though - it is tougher and can withstand a lot but it feels like luggage i have to carry about, especially when soaked in sweat.
  6. I will be getting a heavy punchbag very soon and looking at what's on sale, I have the option of 4, 5 and 6 ft bags. I will be using a wall bracket in the garage to hang this on. So, what size of bag do you all use? I was thinking of getting the biggest bag as there would be more areas to aim for? What do you think?

  11. When i bend the knees a lot, say for shiko dachi, they creak on the way back up. They don't feel bad or anything, they just make this weird creaking noise a bit like the noise you can make when cracking your knuckles Anyone had this before?

  14. Always wondered what a 3rd dan does for 4th dan, 4th dan for 5th dan etc. Is it just the usual kata, sparring etc or do higher grades get their dans for services to the art or something like that? any other requirements? Anyone know?
