Im 16 years old I disobeyed him and instead of being rational he stabbed me. I mean now you think of it the tetnis hurt and yeh it is defeating the purpose of self- preservation. His sais were really flashy and really cool. They were pot medal but were still cool. We wanted the fight to look more realistic so we did full strength blocks. On one of the blocks from a jo the sais shaft broke.

Ok scrap that!!! Can anyone tell me or recommend me a good martial art to comit to that covers everything and is well good. Im 6 foot and i have good flexibility and am capable of high kicks and some fly kicks. I would prefure something with some kicks but whatever

What do you think of the up coming movie ELEKTRA. The Trailer is good but im just a bit worried about how all the chrecters have some Mistical power. Eg a girls kiss will temporelily parilize you. It's apparently inspired by the fantasy Japanese fighting films Eg: Hero, Crouching tiger, Etc. So it could get a litttle bit far fetched.

I do TKD Or Tae kwon do as well as saijitsu. What i can't find no matter how hard i try is what each art is good for. I obviosly know TKD is high kicks, Flexibitity etc but i don't know any others and it would be interesting to know. Does any one know a few MA's and what they are good for

You remind me a lot of me 6 years ago. You won't be able to actually know the sai though the videos although you can at least learn some terms, grips, parts etc. It will be a start. To Buy a pair of sais the way to tell is to measure half an inch past your elbow joint up the end of your index finger. Or at least thats what my friends and i do.It works for us. Are you thinking of octagonal or round. It's really personal prefence, i like the round but as time goes on octagonal is getting more popular. Octagonal has more flash when you twirl them. To me Celebrity fighters are the people who were celebs before a fighter. In that case where the hell are the woman fighters. You guys all ravveled on bout guys for 3 pages. I think Jennifer garner is hands down the best female action fighter. She Stars in a tv sereies that has at least one fight scene in it every episode. She has worked with the sai in DD and she has become familiar with the Bo and has a greater experience with the sai in the spin off ELEKTRA. Apart from that she is an actress who is dedicated to action and will be in the Martial art spotlight for a long time yet. By the way she is also learning TKD for Alias Apart from that Uma Thurman did really well in Kill Bill

Yeh i can agree with you partially. I think 1st and 2nd were both great but in the first i just loved the idea of a Blonde Caucasin woman living though being shot in the head. Also can mutate and gut any person who attacks her with a hanzo samurai sword. With no super human powers. I love the fact that she's mortal but immortal. Ya diggn' In the second they lose that in a way.

The Action Genre has and always will be big in hollywood. There are over 400 action movies ever made. Share your thoughts on the action movies you enjoy and give your oppinion on well made action sequences and good action Actors / Actresses. My self i liked Jennifer Garners work in daredevil good. Although The use of the Sai could have been improved on. I hope She does better in the spin-off ELEKTRA. As you could tell be my username i love Kill Bill. I belive that the final action sequence with the Crazy 88 would have to be in the top 5. WHAT DO U THINK

Belive me as much as you might think, Being stabbed in the hand with a razor sharp sai isn't as bad as you would think. It's mainly just shock.

Yeh, it sounds bad but i think it was good for my pain thesh-hole. My sensai belives that i must be trained under real circumstances and i guess i belive that to. Appart from that he is my uncle and he has this extremly rare disease like terets but it's with his body. He can't control his body very well. Don't get me wrong he is a great teacher

What does it mean for sais to be custom made anyway. Do you like tell them exactly how you wont it and they will make it for youor what?

I am going to purchese a pair of shureido sais at the end of the year and i was hoping to get a pattern or maybe a chinese dragon engraved onto the shaft to make them more unique. I am not sure whether the average engraver or jewellery store could do that for me. Shuriedo sais r a lot a money and i don't want to rewen them. what r your thoughts.

what do you think the best fighting style of sai is, if you had only video and book training without a sensai. Just wondering. My friend is cousin to be able to do the things that i do but considering i live in the oppersite hemi-sphere i don't think that could work.
