  1. Hi Will whoever keeps sending me various forms of virus by email to the address in my profile please STOP IT. My system is watertight with Anti Virus software, two levels of Firewall software - and a hardware firewall router. It is a waste of both your & my time. The email address in my profile here exists only for Karateforums. I use it nowhere else. This is how I know that they are coming from here. Thank you.
  2. Yep - 'fraid so Like I said - get it checked out sooner rather than later.
  3. Got my tickets tonight - me & my two daughters are going to see it Tusday evening - W0000000t
  4. Best of luck Jack! Hope my help in your preparation training pays off. Remember to keep those fluid levels up & GO FOR IT
  5. Close - very close. Well, yes - but why?
  6. Sounds like you've damaged the periosteum - the "skin" over your bone. The swelling is probably blood trapped there. See a good sports physio & he/she'll be able to get rid iof it safely. Don't just ignore it & hope it goes away - that can lead to bad things. Very bad things. Get it sorted.
  7. Jack - "Nil illigicium carborundum" The guys just another wannabe playing on Daddie's PC - but then again he's even fought 1st Kyu's so watch out!
  8. Helloooooooo......... Who did you do your BJJ with? Mauricio?
  9. Someone call? OK - Tobias - it's the other way around. Aikido was developed from Aiki ju-jitsu. Principly from daito ryu aiki jujitsu. Here's a useful link on the subject... http://www.geocities.com/aikiju-jitsu/What.html

  11. I think he means the powerlifter's bench press where the only thing that matters is the amount of weight moved - once. You're refering to a bench press designed to safely work the pecs (and to a smaller degree the anterior delts & triceps) over a range of reps/sets. _________________ YODA KarateForums Sempai 2nd Degree Black Belt : Doce Pares Eskrima https://www.docepares.co.uk Qualified Instructor : JKD Concepts https://www.jkdc.co.uk Qualified Fitness Instructor (Weights, CV, Circuit, Kinesiology) [ This Message was edited by: YODA on 2002-05-16 11:03 ]
  12. And there was me thinking Kata was a rehearsal for combat.
  13. Hey - don't take my word for it. It's only one opinion. I occasionally buy other mags - but only after going through them in the shop first to see if there's anything good in between the adverts and killer pressure point of death articles. MAI is the only one I buy regularly and without needing to half read it first. There used to be a VERY good magazine called Fighting Arts - produced by Terry O'Neil of Shotokan. But it fizzled away some years back. I have a BIG collection of back issues going back to the first issue in 1968!
  14. Hehehe...... Break the name apart
