  1. If you have to test and pay for your white belt, I think you're being robbed. If they just want to make sure you're going to stick with it before they award you with a belt, that's different. But your white belt is symbolic for your clean slate (like you guys don't know that) and we always stripe them up as our students learn the basic stances, blocks, and kicks, so they can see what they've learned. They test when they have 3 stripes on their belt (for the stances, blocks, and kicks)...
  2. I like Macho...We had to order it when I was in the ITA, and I've used it ever since...Tiger Claw has some good gear, as well...
  3. We use Tiger Claw if you have a business license, if not, check out our site, we have them discounted as much as legally possible (Tiger Claw doesn't have any real set limits, but Macho sure does...)
  4. Just curious if anyone here has any experience trying to get one of these off the ground...My husband and I are starting a 'club' at our church and want to eventually use it as an outreach, but we're having a hard time piquing interest at our Church (it's rather larte, 3000 members, about 1700 attending)...we want to do a demo to get people interested, but currently only have ourselves and 2 other students who are trained enough to do so... For those of you who have nothing but negatives to say in regards to Christianity and Martial Arts, I really don't need to hear it here, I've heard it all before...if there was no one who was going to say anything, I apologize, but it's been a hard row to hoe to get here... Anyway, I'd like to hear from anyone with any experience...
  5. If you wash your belt, it will be harder to tie correctly, and most likely will NOT tie correctly...if that doesn't bother you, you should wash it. I've never had ANY belt bleed onto my do bak, if your belts are bleeding their color, you should try looking for a different supplier...(or suggest it to your instructor if you're not the one ordering...)
