  1. Great advice everyone! Stretching is very important! Also, don't forget about hydrating yourself! Make sure you drink enough water.... you could be dehydrated...which will cause cramping.
  2. Use lighter weights and work with someone who knows form! Your form is more important at this stage than how much you can lift. Get involved in a good all around sport like karate or kickboxing. It will put on muscle without stunting your growth...plus it's more fun!
  3. There is alot of "stand up" BJJ! Wrist locks. arm bars, chokes...all done from a standing position...but I prefer the ground!
  4. I'd say training for the basics of BJJ 6 hours a week....if you're a quick study..2 years. It's worth it!
