  1. go and buy a top and bottom bag, there about 30$ U.S. I noticed a great improvent in my bobing/slipping of punches within the 2nd week that I had it , it also improves you punching acuracy, timing, and speed a great deal also. but still the best way is to go to class as much as possible, becouse punching/dodging a bag will never be the same as punching/dodging a person.
  2. you should know how to work from the clinch, try clinching when he trys to grab you
  3. does anyone know some good drills to condition your stomach to take blows using a medicine ball. solo drills also any good drills to build muscle over the ribs
  4. no, I have not fought in any matches. that allow kicks to the knee or lower i was just wondering what the rules are for when it acidently happens. I thought a cut kick was when you kick someones supporting leg when they are throwing a kick with the oposite leg, or is it like you said any time you kick to the inner thigh.
  5. No, lol I have not fought in any matches. that allow kicks to the knee or lower i was just wondering what the rules are for when it acidently happens. 6. I said leg, sorry I ment conditioning for the thigh so you can take a kick without droping
  7. Watch mirco filipovic "cro cop" during his pride fc fights he is ussualy able to prevent people from taking him to the ground and when he does go down he is really good at getting back to his feet. one good way to prevent someone from taking you to the ground is too grab hold of the coller of the shirt or gi when they go to grab you and strike them with your oposite hand, if your strong and you got good punches you can keep the at a distance why still being able to land some good strikes.
  8. does any one know of some good sites to get muay thai bags "least exspensive"? also what are some good ways too condition your leg to take kicks "other than getting kicked" ; solo training
  9. thanks, I would geuss that getting kicked in the knee happens once in a while "accidental" during a kickboxing match especialy in novice matches where some fighters aim is a little off. I have seen a few k1 matches where some fighters kicks go a little low "to the knee" and the ref does not seem to pay attention, also the knee is pretty tough a good leg block can break some ones shin if done with the knee.
  10. if you kick somebody in the knee or shin during a kickboxing/k1 match do you get a yellow card or some kind of warning from the ref, or are these kicks allowed just not done becouse the knee can actually hurt the person kicking, or do they not do it out of respect for your oponent?
  11. the last couple of days I have had to lay of round kicks to the heavy bag with my right foot due to sharp pain on the top of my foot. i have been training for about 2 years and kicking the heavy bag all the time. i was wondering if there are any conditioning drills for the foot or if i should just decrease the power of my kicks?
