  1. Just to throw in my 2-cents . . . I run 12 - 15 miles a week, broken up into 3 mile hills and flat 4 - 5 mile runs with intermittant sprints. Personally, I believe running is quite important in my training. Along with a little weight training, the two can provide a fighter with a strong heart to keep energy rich blood flowing to the extremities. I've found this combination to translate into much needed stamina and strength during spar sessions.
  2. I had a similar reaction event a while back. I decided I was training too much that week, and took the next week off.
  3. I've always considered JKD as a guide in selecting what techniques or lack of techniques, styles, whatever, to use in differing situations. Adaptability is the main message I've retained from JKD.
  4. I would definitely attend the sparring sessions. Concentrate on using the basics that you have been training, and remember to BREATHE and relax. Very important!! With it you'll discover how well you really know your skill set.
