White Belt

White Belt (1/10)

  1. Maybe I need to eat lunch and feed my brain, but that article doesn't make a lot of sense to me. *scratches head and looks confuzed* Methinks I'll try to decifer the article after lunch.
  2. I just answered my own question. According to another thread, it is supposed to be in theatres on 20 August 2004. Should be fun.
  3. I've been thinking about buying the DVD of Hero for a while now because it has already been released for sale in other countries, but I think I'll hold out and watch it on the big screen. Does anyone know when it is going to start playing? I've seen the trailers but no definite date. Thanks.
  4. Yeah, mostsolid, American martial arts movies are pretty good. But when I'm in the mood for a foreign martial arts movie, I enjoy seeing it as it was originally intended:)
  5. The Legend of Drunken Master and the Once Upon a Time in China movies. All preferably in their original formats. I really don't like it when movies are dumbed down for American audiences. The production companies will cut and paste a martial arts movie until it is hardly recognizable. Sorry for the rant but it is one of my biggest pet peeves.
  6. Drinking non-fat and/or low-fat milk should help with the phlem. I experience the same thing when I drink regular milk or consume anything with a high fat content. Cutting back on the fat seems to alleviate the problem.
  7. I agree with ninjanurse also. Some people just aren't meant to drink milk. Lactose intolerance has actually been linked to genetics and ethnicity. And unpasteurized milk can carry harmful bacteria. But if you have been drinking it for two years without experiencing any negative reaction to it, I don't see how continuing to do so would cause any harm. I would recommend sticking to low-fat or non-fat milk but even drinking two cups of whole milk shouldn't cause noticable weight gain. Especially since you are practicing martial artist and, I assume, quite active.
  8. Far East Fighting Arts does still exist on Main Street in Tigard. The Dacascos Kung Fu Academy, however, is no longer in existence in Portland.
