Thanks for the replies guys. No, I certainly won't do that. If they have MT classes anywhere around there then it'd just be an added bonus. As for the job, I'm looking into either firefighting or computer systems operations apprentice. Even aerial gunner interests me. Out of those three though, I think firefighting seems cool. Not only do I like the Air Force, but I also look up to firefighters.

I'd just like to say hello to all of you again. I've been silently checking the forums out every so often. I had to stop taking Muay Thai lessons about a year ago. I still get urges to go back, but I don't have the cash to do so now. Anyway, what I want to know is if anybody here knows if there are any Air Force bases that offer Muay Thai training lessons. I'm going to join the USAF after I graduate from high school, and I thought it'd be a huge plus if anyone knew about this. I know this question is a little different from all the others, but I'd appreciate any help on my question. A lot of AF base websites are down so I can't really do any research on it. Thanks for any help.

AMERICA'S ARMY! Sorry...I love that game. It's great to be able to find servers with real soldiers playing and teaching them a lesson. Even though they'd kick my butt in real life.

Wanting to learn Muay Thai

Don't worry about your size. I'm as skinny as they come and do pretty well in my gym. -
New to Muay Thai

Bags, pads, people: Kick those things. Why? Because they're softer than your shin bone and won't damage it, but will still numb the pain effectively. Pins, trees, "tapping" your leg with little sticks: It's just not the way it's meant to be done. Your shin secretely cries. Your heavy bag will become your best friend for a while. Good luck on finding a gym. -

Last thing you want to do is use a rolling pin. You'll pay for it later in life. -
Exactly what Thai_Kick said. Shins hurt like hell man. I love Muay Thai...

I dread doing _______ in class!

For some reason I'd rather do round kick practice. I love those, especially working on the guard and countering. I'm weird that way. -

Push kick drills with the belly pads. The pads work for about the first 5 kicks then it's like they're not even there. And sometimes the other guy's foot slips and you gotta watch your groin. -

Great! Thanks a lot. -
Nice topic! I don't have one favorite game but I'll list'em anyway: Tekken 4 - Jin's Karate is sooooo cool. GTA3 - You can't forget this incredible game. GTA: Vice City - I know, I know it's not out yet, but I'm positive I'll love it Soul Calibur 2 - The first was a classic and every time I go to the arcade I play SC2 non-stop. And that's it.

That's really cool Kickchick. I'll be using that a lot now. -
A question about Mauy Thai
Blammo replied to Tweedy's topic in MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, and Competitive Fighting
That's right shabz. The Thais don't have the option of cancelling a fight and not worrying about money. Sometimes they'll fight twice a week! 3 -
So anyway...Go ahead and take Hapkido! From what I've seen it's very cool and fluid. Just imagine having someone in a wrist lock and he's struggling from the pain while you side kick some other guy out of the way.

Rakim...and some other guys...Bone Thugs... Sorry, I'm terribly bored right now.

I think I deleted a file from my computer that caused my java not to work. Can someone give me a link to where I can download something to make it run?

Ever since I injured my left foot (late March) I have been wanting to return to class more than ever. At first I thought it was just a bad bruise, but then the doctor told me I had a small fracture and needed to stay out of class. After that I had to make an appointment with a foot doctor to see what was up. My appointment was for early May. Then I found out that I needed to take more x-rays and the date was changed to June 6. So here I am practicing the boxing aspect of the sport and making sure I don't work my foot. There's no more pain, but I don't want to risk anything. I swear that when I return I will be WAY more focused than before. I guess my injury led to a good thing, causing me to remember why I do Muay Thai in the first place.
