  18. I am here in Reno, and no D I don't think that it's a huge city, but thanks for the motivational comment. I've seen all types of styles and schools, Choy-li-fut, Tai Chi Chuan, BJJ, Aikido, and I was lucky enough to goto the Reno 2004 Tai Kwan Do Championships! I will be back!
  19. Hello everyone, today I am moving to a big city! I do not when I will be able to post again, but I'm not going to disappear. Hopefully I will be able to join the Tiger Kung Fu Academy in Reno, Nevada (USA) and once again learn Choy-Li-Fut Kung Fu under a great Sifu! I wish you all the best of training, study, and practice! (Repitition is the Mother of all Skills) Patrick; Great Martial Arts Website, thank you! Spin; keep on working on your flashy techniques ! Best wishes to all of you, try and play nice, and don't take any wooden nickles!
  20. My prayers are with you also, best of luck, we all will be watching.
  21. I study Choy-Li-Fut, Tai Chi Chuan and I-Chuan Chi Gong. I like clf because of the variety in techniques, the aerobic workout due to the long forms and much more. I like tcc for the internal disipline that I feel help my external art. I like I-chuan chi gong meditation for the health benifits, mental clarity, and added power.
  22. Add 10 lbs to your gear, try some ankle wieghts, put down the books and train even more like sprints. Don't forget to stretch, you can do this while reading. How about going to a taylor or seemtress to alter your pant so that you do have the room to move more comfortably ? If you have a chair, you could practice moving around it with your style of stances. I've heard that jumping helps. The quick release from a solid foundation helps your muscles reaction time. I hope this helps, and I am sorry that some of us don't get around the boards as quickly as we could, but there are many people here that try to help others. Happy training and the best of luck in your upcoming tournament!
  23. I know I am boring in that I like it quiet when I train. I like to hear my breathing, my heart beat, and no distrations so I can focus better on my form. The way I look at it there is time for all things and listening to music to motivate myself can be done at other times. I can find motivation in rest after a good workout when my next session in the feeling of stronger, more difined, techniques. I have a variety of specific songs that I enjoy listening to for motivation, while I do not prefer to listen while I train.
