  1. hello! I think that you should definitely go for it. The exercise you get from tae kwon do will improve your overall flexibility even if you are not all that flexible to begin with. Tae kwon do's for everyone. You'll be surprised at what you can accomplish both mentally and physically in a matter of monthsif you decide to take this oppurtunity. Good luck man!
  2. How come some people who get there black belts in 2 or 3 year turn out to be not so good. My tkd teacher told me that in some studios, if a student pays a lot of money, they'll probably get their black belts first even if barely keep their toes down on a side kick! Also another thing- at our studio, a few students are obsessed in punishing lower ranks with many many push-ups. Everyone gets along but honestly! I thought it was the way of hand and foot, not the way of push-ups! Is that how it is at your tae kwon do studios? Does everyone get along? Also, how long would it take the average student to get a black belt?
  3. Hi! I've never been to (or been in) a tae kwon do tournement before. How do the judges evaluate a form if say a yellow belt and a blue belt are in the same branch of the touney. What if one person is doing the simplest form of traditional tae kwon do, Chon-Ji (i think) and another does onefrom a studio that uses a form like Pinan 1? Help me! I must know! Thanks very much have a nice day... [ This Message was edited by: tekkenchaos on 2001-12-25 21:33 ]
