Yellow Belt

Yellow Belt (2/10)

  1. many of those whom put there rank in would have graded in particular the kyu grade get back to me with your current grade.
  2. we have just changed after many years wearing a white gi . if you are nidan or above you must wear black pants and white gi top. not sure if i like the change or not because iam so use to the white gi, whats your thought's
  3. hey. I train in Australia N.S.W and have been training in kyokushin karate since 1993. our club left the kyokushin organization late in 1994 after Mas Oyama death. although our club still participate in a most of the IKO3 tournament's ran by shihan John Taylor OSU!
  4. I have to agree with >NidaninNJ< the only time you wash your belt is when you have gotten it wet training at a beach camp or near water. your belt is the hard work that you have done, and the only thing that makes you different from another student. it is not there to make you look pretty.
  5. I have seen only few fail, in our club. the instructors only hand out to those whom he thinks are ready to pass to the next level. but even instructors every so often make a misstake and have to fail a student. shodan, or black belt gradings are different in kyokushin you train between 4-6 years to become a black belt, and in the last 12 months from 1st kyu to the shodan grading there is a large drop out rate i have known over 80 1st kyus come through our club and yet we have only 27 blackbelts. shodan grading starts from the time you are a 1st kyu. the grading day for those whom have been to a kyokushin grading is very difficult and very rewarding once over. once you start a shodan grading you dont walk out , you push....Osu!

  7. quote: was simply stating my opinion on the subject. In no way did I mean to offend, Just stating that some do real breaks. I agree that some are compleatly fake "set up" the only reason i asked was because you stated that quote: using #2 pine with the grain, scoring the boards, allowing ice to melt and weaken under it's own weight, using un-baked clay tiles and bricks....etc .....etc. you cant asume that all Martial artist do this. that is my point.
  8. What would be your choice of color? are Black Gis hotter to wear then the white Gi's. if anyone knows, i thought it would have been!
  9. Can other Styles join in your organisations tournaments!>?
  10. That is true and it is ashame that there a so many bias people around we all practice martial arts. it's ashame different and same styles can not get along
  11. Nidan since last christmas. 2003
  12. what about a baseball bat break with a round house kick using the shin. is that legit. for a break. Yes some people choose to if i may cheat eg. i dont know about a piece of 4x2 plank being broken upon you, thats not going to be broken by someone hittig it on you But there are some whom train and do fantastic breaks such as the Baseball bat. the ones that do hard breaks dont come out of it with out brusing and swelling. those who do breaks that are hard and make it look like a piece of Pi-ss, and look as though it was nothing and have know swelling. i think that is a little hard to believe This topic has really taken off.
  13. Should Judges of major or large kata tournaments be judged by people whom has done several styles so that the best will win>
