  1. thanks taI, oh yeah, what would be better to use while training just by urself? a bouken, or a shinai?
  2. well, it's sorta hard to do them in the first place... but my friend can do two finger push-ups... pretty crazy stuff... almost a bruce lee
  3. ummm.. maybe someone that takes the class could tell me some exercises... or maybe i could get a site that works...

  6. A long staff, broom handles, whatever... and a knife. Like the size of a kitchen knife so if in need, you can use a kitchen knife as a weapon, and handle it like a master.
  7. hmm... interesting... well, the thing is, i'm really not trying to get big at all. i'm trying to get small right now, lose some fat. It's just doing the low carb diet that I'm doing, when I do workout, I feel so tired and after a few days, i just need to quit because my body feels so sore... so that's why i wanted to know what's up with the carbs, and if they're relaly that bad for you. and if not, what carbs are good for you?
  8. ooh, that tape thing is a good idea. I enver thought about that. I just usually set the height to my own height, because mines a standing bag, and I just beat it and I go all out. helps me out when I'm pissed or stressed.
  9. I've heard so many different points about carbs and protein. Things like eat as little carbs as you can and eat lots of protein, like the atkins diet. But, i've also read that you need more carbs because if you don't, it will lower your endurance and severely weaken you. And eating too much protein and too little carbs is bad because your body is more used to burning carbs... I just wanna know how I should eat, because I really wanna lose some weight... and it'd go a lot faster if I knew what to eat, and what not to eat.
  10. Yeah, I've read isometric exercises give u more definition in ur muscles and give u a more cut look.
  11. Yeah, from what sevenstar, I tend to overtrain a lot. It's not that hard for me to work every muscle and that's what I just feel like doing. It's weird for me to workout just my arms and chest and then just stop there.

  13. yeah, i've read that after learning how to move fast with the weights on, you can move even faster without the weights.
  14. yeah, I've seen the prices for armor, I know it's very expensive... but just the idea of being to learn how to do all of those techniques like parries and stuff, and the techniques in fencing look very interesting as well. I just wish someone could teach me like a close friend instead of having to go to a school because of the costs and the time.
  15. Yeah, I've seen some of the Gracie brothers fight in UFC and other things like that and I've seen their techniques, it's pretty crazy stuff. I saw a book on it at barnes and nobles, maybe I should take a look at that, since that's about the closest I'll get to learning BJJ.
