  1. Interesting topic... Well this is a tough question due to the fact it gets very blurred by personal preference, but I had the pleasure of studying breifly under Sensei Okazaki and Sensei John McCleary who were both brilliant instructors in Shotokan. I have seen Sensei Obata from Aikido brilliantly teach unfortunately never had the opportunity to study under him but was able to sit in a couple of classes. In Tang Soo Do Master Fred Scott or Master Hwang Kee. Hmm I think I could probably name more but those are the ones that come to mind in traditional styles. Oh one more I forgot about SL Martin
  2. Hey guys just wondering how many Tang Soo Do stylists are on here. Or are most of the Korean Stylists on here mainly Tae Kwon Do.
  3. Is there anyone here that has taken eother art just wondering had the pleasure of meeting some of these instructors when I was on vacation in Japan
  4. Cool Thread. I also would like to add that supplementation of Vitamin C is also a good way to boost the immune system.
  5. Contracts hmmm. Well the best advice I can give you about them, if your school has them, is look at the advanced classes do they retain their Dan's? Also if you get a chance watch a few classes just not one, take a couple of weeks just stop in unannounced a few times look at the way the teacher interacts with his/her students. Unfortunately most schools that are run as full time endevours are forced to use contracts. Not that that is a bad thing, I just have mixed emotions about contracts in general. But anyway good luck in your search and remember choosing a school is a very personal thing and if you choose the right one it could be a place that you are involved with for the rest of your life.
