Broken nose in sparring?? AT my school we have a hell of alot of black belts, but I;ve never seen a scratch on any of them. Much less from sparring

AT the school I go to, theres about 17-30 people there, and the location is far out located in an insecnificant wherehouse on the city outskirts. Sometimes theres about 40-50 people in the "fighting class"

Im a beginner, very much so... Although at my school we have what we call a "fighting class" where, we devide in age, and sometimes teams...and we fight for points. It was my 3rd fighting class, and I got a nice roundhouse kick onto my eye from a dan, who was a good bit older than me as well. Didn't really hurt, but I still won.

My knowledge of Aikido is limited..but, I've watched aikido classes with black belts in them, I've also seen someone try and throw a half decent punch at one of the black belts..Unless you hold your hand for a few idol seconds, they can't catch it...Im not in the best position to judge a manner like this but, I can't see how it would stand a chance against kung fu or karate,...

Virtua Fighter 4

I listen to In Flames while im training usually...About as heavy metal as you can get.. I also listen to Edguy's "Vain Glory Opera"...just the perfect fighting song. Linkin Park and Metallica's "ST Anger" is more, kiddie rock..considered it's aimed at a very young audience, and the repeatative imaturity in the music that is prodced by those bands...Metallica have really sold out. So far from real "metal" although the average american youth will never have the pleasure of being exposed to any real metal music.

For me, ...school,..but really...I have a slight hernia type injury that has always kicked up on me, so if I train for half an hour..I'll limp for a long time after, I think it's because I put far too much effort into the height of my roundhouse kick, straining the muscle region...

I personally liked some of the old Vanilla Ice,Run DMC sort of thing..Not that Im an expert on rap..believe me Im far from it, but I think rap has drifted from it's original roots... Same with metal, we have Slipknot and Linkin Park..instead of 17 years ago, Metallica and Maiden...But the whole "hair metal" thing really hurt it, then with Nirvana coming shortly around the corner, eeek. Metal has never really been a mainstream style of music..Although the true metal bands don't stand a chance at mainstream success in english speaking nations...Personally I think Edguy and Blind Guardian might be massive superstars if they had anyway to publicly display their music. I suppose the same has happened with rap, I might look at Nelly and P diddy as phonies if I listened to underground rap.. It also annoys me to hear..."shake it baby, dont care bout cha boyfriend, Ima badass p.i.m.p. and chicks dig me, but dey don't wanna ge w-choo white boy" Being played in public, it's sexist..unintelligent,immature..Talentless,..well with the exception of Eminem and a few others. I think it has a very bad influence on the youth of today, , But the majority of youth is always screwed up..especially in my city, yes it has one of the highest crime and theft rates in the english speaking world but..No matter where you walk, there is a group of 13 year olds throwing stones at someones home, or harrasing the elderly. One of the reasons Im learning karate.

I've heard the bruce lee game is quite bad... But I know Virtua Fighter 4 is awesome, all kinds of different styles...You can costumize your character with the money you win from winning fights..it's awesome, I'm only guessing it's better than tekken 4.
