You guys are pretty messed up talkin about "hairs".... Who the hell cares.. I am alittle skeptical as well if it is "love" or just your brain rewiring for adulthood (aka. hormones), as teenagers are supseptable at this age. It's all scientific. But anyways, does this girl have a BF?? Chances are, she already has a BF... -
KURAMA, the coolest of them all...

LOL, so true... but mine is only Hard tail...better get that FS bike... anyways, I want to get mechs, so I can work on it myself. If I get hydros, I gotta think about the hydro fluid and bleeding calipers and other things that may result from a more complicated system. though i may be wrong and hydros might be simpler than what I think...

that's very true. there has been a scientific research on this and it said that over 3000 miles a year on your bike can cause low sperm count and stuff. I only ride about 4~5 hours a week, in the summer and fall. Spring and winter are my snowboarding dayz...

Judo vs Aikido
TURBO7 replied to YoungGrasshopper's topic in Choosing a Martial Art, Comparing Styles, and Cross-Training
Damn, when did competitions become the par for being the "best"... It's very sad to see this trend going here; I'm assuming it's a "western" american thing. In America, everything needs to be faster, stronger, better, bigger, etc...etc... Go read the Tao D' Ching by LaoTsu; it will show you the way..... -

MTN biking of course... Road biking is for boring ppl.... 2001 K2 Zed 4.0 (not the best bike, but hey, I'm only a college student and it was $500 on sale from $700.) Tektro brakes Deore Lx rear derail. Deore front derail. sucky tires, but no rolling resistance. Judy TT front sus Next bike, I'm planning on building from the ground up with shimano XT's all around, nice Manitou or Rock Shox suspension, and fox rears. Hayes mech. diskes. Of course that's once I get out of college and start workin so i can make the $$$. what bike did you buy?? Also, please don't be one of those yuppy ppl who buy $3G bikes and ride it around town and gravel city trails.

Judo vs Aikido
TURBO7 replied to YoungGrasshopper's topic in Choosing a Martial Art, Comparing Styles, and Cross-Training
You couldn't be more wrong. Aikido is not for fighting, it's for defending. Defending means to survive, not to win. If a trained fighter attacked an Aikido Master like Furuya he would find himself on the ground in pain or standing alone with no one to fight. There would be no way for the so called trained fighter to know what he's up against, unless he walked into a school and picked a fight. So basically there would be no fight. Aikido in a sense is a MA for people who don't believe in fighting. Also, depending on what type of trained fighter you are talking about. Aikido Masters are experts with certain Budo weapons and can use objects in much the same way, any object as a weapon efficiently. I wouldn't advise attacking a well trained Aikidoka. Don't be so sure about what you say. Your over confidence can be your downfall. Just some friendly advice from a fellow MA enthusiast. I totally agree with ya. I have seen this aikidoka "action" and just cause they don't have comps or anything where ppl do aikido, or a aikido comp, don't knock it till you've physicaly tried to hurt a grand master aikidoka. Good luck on that though.... -
Anybody do Aikido?
TURBO7 replied to Kensai's topic in BJJ, Judo, Jujitsu, Aikido, and Grappling Martial Arts
Can someone reccomend an Aikido association that would be best to train under??? I am a TKDist, and I want to learn some grappling (internal) not so square art. What would be the best Aikido ryu to do?? I want to be able to do Aikido mostly for "real world" self defense, not that McDojo crapola. -
Judo vs Aikido
TURBO7 replied to YoungGrasshopper's topic in Choosing a Martial Art, Comparing Styles, and Cross-Training
No, Aikido is the type of stlye that works against drunks or untrained people. Not a trained fighter trying to knock your head off your sholders or ground and pound you to a bloody mess. ...that doesn't apply to all aikido ppl. Have you seen those aikido masters?? Anyone have a suggestion on which AIkido I should choose? -
didn't know where to put this...favorite uniform brand???
