  1. Thank you all for the help; I just started Krav Maga in London and during the summer I am going to be taking Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in my town. I will post a bit more when I know how things are going, just trying to locate a similar school of each in the States in the area I may be moving to. Thank you all for the help.
  2. Thanks for all the advice you gave me. I am still looking for one but i will let you know what i choose as soon as i do.

I am 5'10, 119lbs, and will be starting classes in either Krav Maga, Aikido, Ju Jitsu, or Tae Kwon Do, in that order. i was wondering if anyone could give me help on what sort of exercise i should be doing to help myself out with each of these martial arts. thank you in advance
  9. I am looking for anyone who can help me find someone who teaches Krav Maga in the oxfordshire area of England. Any help would be welcome. Thank you in advance.
  10. Thank you all for the advice you have given me, and i don't doubt part of it was to do with my age. If anyone else has any advice it would be welcome, and i will have a look into the martial arts you have listed.
  11. Hi, i was just looking over the internet for information on martial Arts when i found this place and joined, for help and advice. So hello all.
  12. I am looking for Self defense in a martial art, and i am not 100% against grappling, i would rather counter, or do a joint lock, then graple. As for shotokan, i am not 100% sure exactly what bit i did not like when i was doing it, but mainly the stances, and how i would attack from them.
  13. first i will start with judo then go onto why i did not like shotokan. Judo, I personly found i did not like the grappling elements of judo, well it was useful i would rather do something i think would protect me better. Shotokan, I never got on with this style i personly, did not like the moevs i was learning.
  14. Hello, and sorry if i break the guide-lines with this post / topic as i am new to the board. I was wondering if i could ask the advice from the people of this forum. I am 17, male, and i weight 119lbs and i am 5'10". I am of above average health and wish to take up martial arts in the oxfordshire area of the united kingdom, and i was wondering if people would be able to give me advice on what martial art would be best for me? I have studied Shotokan Karate, from 6 - 10 years of age, and i did a month of judo, neither of which i enjoyed. Any help would be welcome!
