btw i know alot of people that have went to dillman seminars they said its mostly him talking and do really basic maneuvers and then him doing a few very easy dimak knockouts. If you want to learn dimak dont learn it from dillman hes full of crap he cant do crap learn it from master seiyu oyata. Hes a old okinawan champion ryuken kemp he is the best dim mak person in the world he lives in kansas now. My masters brothers used to train with him. Dillman actually supposedly learned with master oyata as well.

Well my instructor of martial arts for 4 years is leaving do to the fact that its really hard for him to do anything anymore cause hes so much in pain. And were haveing a formal goodbye type of thing I would like to get him something But i have no idea what i should give him. i can spend up to 150 canadian dollers thats all i have right now. thats a good idea of the sword hilt for the kitana. I really like him hes worth it were a pretty mixed martial art school He knows various styles of karate. Hes allso done some tai kwon do , but we mainly do Mantis kungfu hes not so much into the others anymore

What are the stances and techniques that define these arts im very curious about both of them.

Lately I have been learning a mantis sword set and some basics with the jing(spelling?) it reminds me alot of the sword they use in crouching tiger hidden dragon (cept without all the flying)

well you cant really tell by that but those seem to be all good sighns cept maybe the quarterly gradeings. The things you should look for if people are constantly getting injuries. If they want you to sighn a long contract as soon as you sighn up. If they are teaching something diffrent they what they say. (even though many schools cross train) and if they have alot of crappy higher up students.

Definetly check out the ryu kyu school. If the instructor is even a pinch as good as master taiku seiyu oyata you will become great.

Well yeah the centerline (motherline) thing is good to practice and learn in any style of martial art indeed. The way it was explained is that it does not have to be a point of strength so much as a way to control your oponet in a chin na (sp?) mantis focus on many chin na techniques.

some people seem to think that seven star refers to the constalations in the sky. What i have been told by a tai mantis master is that it actually refers to the seven folcrims (sp?) in your body the ankles knees hips elbows shoulders neck wrists.

oh yeah it was COMPLETLY ghetto we had this one dude dress up as a ninja and this other guy in a karate gui and this other dude had his boxing stuff on. i think it would have actually been better if the carpets wernt there. i had alot of fun doing this though. afterwards lol a couple came around and i think they were going to do u kn0 what we told them we were going to leave but they still left it was funny.

well i entered and I won though i f'ed up my back since there were no matts. we just sorta did it on some old carpets in the woods. i messed up my back though because i went to grapple and the guy picked me up and just landed on me i couldnt break fall and since well its just the hard ground. but i totally won and destroyed all of them i hardly did anything and just let my body take their strikes cause they didndt know how to hit.

Its a bunch of kids from school who are really interested in martial arts i got a invitation like a long time ago and its tommorow. its basically no gear fighting and no shots to the head im kinda iffy on this thing but my master did this when he was young and thats how he got good.
