Hey shrekka have you tried the Kamikaze europa or kamikaze dynamic gi Both gis I have been thinking about buying. Probably the Europa for general training since I believe its middle weight, and the dynamic possibly to replace my adidas WKF gi. Have you tried either of them? How are they?
-
Shrekka at what WKF tournament did this incident occur? Just curious...
-
I sometimes wear a leather belt, lol.
-
Good luck you'll do fine. Hm maybe you already did it? Howd it go?

The value of your Black Belt!
Kumite988 replied to mikaveli's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
there are ALOT of twelve yearolds who deserve to wear a blackbelt. -
Whats so amazing about there being pro point fighters? "Knockdown" isn't the only way to go. In fact I'd bet world level point fighters have better footwork, better reflexes and much better speed than the average pro full contact fighter. They(fullcontact) might be stronger but, eh, maybe not. Just sick of people bashing point fighting.

P.A.L. seems to have a good question about those katas adapted into some schools of shito ryu, maybe someone could get that one. Hm one question of many I have involves kata suparimpai. When are you taught to contract muscles, relax muscles in this kata?
-
Anyone? lol.. Who practices and can talk about Suparimpai, Anan, Sepai, Gojyushiho, Chatanyarakushanku? Some others I may be forgetting.
-
If you study shito ryu especially like a hayashi/kotaka ha post here so we can talk =)
-
Opinion? Not sure what you mean. Its probably the most common thing you'll see in sparring. Can be very powerful with proper hip and body coordination.
-
May I ask which kata your working on? I may have some tips for it.
-
There isn't really a best tournament kata. Judges look for form and other things not really which kata your're doing. However, if someones techinque/form/etc just HAPPENS to be EXACTLY the same throughout different kata's, I would say that Anan is great when done correctly, as well as Suparinpai, Gojushiho and Unshu too. But really it all depends on your form not the kata.
-
We use Shiko Dachi while doing these katas.
-
Did anyone else have a ton of problems learning this kata? It's strange because I am usually really fast at picking up katas, even long ones after a short amount of time. This one though it's just such a pain. The first two I know, but Sandan, theres something about it I just cant get down. I am only talking about the memorization here. Anyone else have problems with this kata?
-
My favorite kata to watch is either Anan, or Gojyushiho(shito version). To perform maybe Chatanyara Kushanku or Suparimpai.
-
Hi i'm Shito, what you wanna talk about?
-
dang can someone host the video, it's a 404 not found now.

beginner just feelin stupid... help me with pronunciation..
Kumite988 replied to 15-lisa-newbie's topic in Karate
Yea when he says "skeet" he's probably just saying "Kioske" quickly and making it sound like 'skeet'. Kioske means attention. -
I was at the national's. I probably saw you fight zakariryu, if you don't mind could you tell me what you look like? I still remember most of the fighters I saw there
-
Elisa Au from the U.S. got two golds. Her weigh division and open. First person in WKF history to do it I believe, not sure though.
-
No justification for it. It' just pretty stupid, mostly the younger kids do it.
