  10. I think you should hold them back until the age of 16. If they can get, give them a Junior Blackbelt instead (a bleack belt with a white strip running through it's entire length). And when they come of age, have them take the blackbelt test, if they pass, they can have it.
  11. oops, put my previous post in the wrong forum. AAAADUUUUUUH!
  12. Do you know how many types of Martial Arts styles there are for world Champions, and lets not forget how many years there have been World Champions.
  13. Oh and another thing, My dojang officially lets 14 years old in as well, except I didn't go in when I turned 14, I did when I was 11, I asked my instructor and he let me. I was being distracted by the younger and older kids of the kids class and I wanted a more serious approach, with less kiddy games and more adult training. I did have the mentallity then. I went into the adults calls a month after I joined, when I got my second belt, orange in ITF Tae Kwon Do. Yeah it was fast, and I wasn't ready, thats why I wanted to go to the adults class, I didn't want my next belt until I know I am ready as well as my instructors. But once I went into the Adults class, I gained more knowledge of things, I was able to learn faster, I got the attention I needed and wanted (my adults class is very small). Everything was more focused and it was a twice as long of a class. That was three years ago, almost 4, 4 in November. And I am a Blue Belt, halfway to my brown. (might be red because my school is going through some changes). I was ready for the Adults class, and I'll take anything my instructors throw at me.
  14. Dae, You got a problem with a 14 year old in the adult class? I am 14 and I am an instructor for the kids class, as well as one of the top ranking students in the ADULTs class of my dojang, so get over it.
  15. Yeah, I am in the Martial Arts, and I am deffinantly into the girls that are in Martial Arts. I am a 14 year old Blue Belt in Tae Kwon Do. I can't really find any girls that are into Martial Artists. I live in Upstate New York, if anyone is a girl around my age that is into the Martial Arts or knows someone like this. Email me, somers8907@yahoo.com. I don't care if its just for friendship, I need someone to talk with and stuff. Actually, thats just what I am looking for, to start.
  16. Hey everybody, I want to know what your style(es) is(are). Why don't ya just post away and tell me.
  17. I would fight because if you were to run, you are most certanly liable to get shot in the back. Normally, if you don't run, if they havn't shot you in the first 30 seconds or so, they won't do it at all.
  18. I am buying a set of Kamas, well, I am trying to save the money up to buy a pair. I was wondering who else has Kamas, and who enjoys them? I am buying three pairs, a wooden pair, a demo pair, and a Mike Chat Kamas by Macho pair. This Poll will be up for two weeks.
  19. Rip Cords come in three strengths and colors according to thier strength. Green is weak, Black is moderate, and red is strong. There are one velcro ankle bracelet type things at each end. One to latch to your ankle and the other to a base. You stretch it out so it doesn't touch the floor at all, then kick foreward using various kicks, such as front snap, side snap, side thrust, and ect. It makes it so you can kick faster with less effort. It also helps add to strength. You can buy these from Century.
  20. I have a tip or you, Use a Rip Cord before you go into your sparring match. I did this in my last tournement, I was a yellowbelt, and that was a year and a half ago, and I went home as tournement Grandmaster for my age group and rank group (My yellow is equivelent to your orange).
  21. Our shcool is White-Orange-Yellow-Green-Blue-Brown-Black, though we may be changing to White-Yellow-Orange-Green-Blue-Red-Black, I think. I am a Blue Belt, and I am an instructor. We have a small school, as you can see. I have been training for almost 4 years, and I am a very good student as well as Martial Artist.
