Yellow Belt

Yellow Belt (2/10)

  1. Yanni makes me yawny. Ok enough of that. I like incubus new and old. Coldplay is my band though, i have every single they ever put out, even the ones they gave to the radio stations in england when they were trying to get on the air.
  2. Um.....it's..........interesting. Hey i like your website. You've got some cool pics.
  3. Er...isn't is the other way around?? ??? That makes sense seeing how one was made before the other. I got it mixed up......so they interviewed lucas and he said it was based on hidden fortress......there, i think that's right.
  4. Man equaninimus be careful. Recently, about three months now, I've been having a pain on the left side of my left knee. I play basketball a lot and I think i mightve done something when landing once, or come to think of it, it could've been during sparring when throwing left side kicks to stop a charging 200+ lb. opponent. Either way, now when i move from side to side it feels like buckling. Also when I stretch i cant fully stretch my left leg because the right side (the inside of my thigh) is very tight (i think it's the hamstring). I've been debating getting it checked but i think im finally going to make myself go. Any suggestions to loosen up my hamstring? Or any way to make sure that I really did do something to my knee before going to the doctor? Hopefully it's just soreness or over-exertion and i wont have to join equaninimus or any of you other guys in the Torn MCL/ACL club.
  5. Haha, that was pretty funny. Who does that? There are certain things you dont bang around!!! I like how the other guy comes over and tries to make a joke about it.
  6. I dunno drunken.......you better watch out, Natural is very fast and kicks very high.
  7. Natural, I must say all your posts are amusing. I wake up every morning looking foward to what you have to say. I think everyone has learned something from your never-ending spring of knowledge. I'm surprised you're not an instructor yet. I think I speak for everyone when I say you've made my day. Thanks for the warning, I'll make sure not to get punched by black-sashed kung fu masters.
  8. I saw Hidden Fortress and thought it was an alright film. I heard that when they interviewed kurosawa, he said it was based on star wars.........i have no idea how but thats what i heard.
  9. I dunno, but all the women I've seen fight have gotten to the point where there's almost no technique. They get so worked up and take it very personal if they're losing, sometimes, you can just tell they wish they could go for the hair. And cheap shots, oh there's plenty of those, we've all seen the video of the lady aiming a high kick at the man and then with all her strength kick as if she were kicking a field goal. Other than stretching and forms......mmmh, let's not get into that.
  10. Getting beaten by a female???? Mmmmh, I dont see that happening to me anytime soon. Although i saw it happen last week when an older chubby boy got knocked down by a small skinny girl a belt under him.
  11. I haven't had too many sparring partners, three to be exact. My instructor, my brother (of course) and most recently a blue belt. The blue belt and i sort of have a history even though we don't talk to each other. Since I started tkd in june of last year he would randomly show up about once a month and try to lead the class and tell everyone what was wrong with what they where doing. Later I found out that he was telling the instructors daughter that my brother and i sucked and so on, and she was like "um they are white belts...." (yellow belt now) Anyways, I finally got to spar him last week, and I just tore him up. I blocked and countered every move he made, stopped his attacks with sidekicks that sent him stumbling, and in one instance sent his helmet flying off with a backfist that "accidentally" hit part of his face. When that happened and a lot of the younger kids started cheering, I could tell he was mad but i didnt think anything of it. During the whole class the instructor was telling the younger kids not to hit below the belt and so on, and since this guy is a couple belts higher than me, i didnt think he would try anything like that. Well as soon as he got his helmet on and we started again, he attacked with a round kick and when i blocked it, he used his other leg to aim a front kick directly where it hurts the most. The instructor treated it like an accident but i know he did it on purpose. I hit him at least 10 times while he only hit me with that illegal kick.....i dunno, i guess im the only one who hates sore losers. I have no respect for him or his rank, and i hope he shows up tomorrow to spar because he hasn't been to class all week. Maybe I'll ask him for tips on how to give him a better *-kicking.
  12. Jet Li in Kiss of the Dragon - against two blondes. Jackie Chan in Who Am I - on roof against two guys. What styles where they doing? The tall one was doing tkd right? Jet Li in Cradle To The Grave - last fight against main bad guy, especially liked the part where the bad guy would throw a kick and jet would kick his leg away before it would reach him. otherwise horrible movie.
  13. I got Hecate greek god of dark magic. Mysterious....intellectual....
  14. Smirk, point at the person, and ask the instructor "This guy?". Something else you can do is call your opponent a lower rank, for example saying "c'mon yellow belt", when they're really a blue belt. Tends to irritate them.
