  1. Yes, I've also heard they intend on introducing wushu into the next olypics. I guess they're hoping for the same thing to happen as it did with taekwondo.
  2. well, i do ninjutsu. imagine people asking if you can fly and disappear. its really annoying man!
  3. hey joanne, did you mean 'martial arts' or specifically karate?
  4. is this the same dude that started the topic "i like a girl in my martial art class"?
  5. dont do it man, just my advice:)
  6. lol, never mind treebranch:) hmmm...most people in this thread seem to think that mixed classes has more benefits than 'girl only'classes. but some women really insist on having a class of their own, perhaps due to their lifestyle as someone had mentioned. errrr....im just wondering, does anyone here belong to a female class by any chance, and how do you feel about it? thanx to all for your advice. keep em coming please
  7. a few of you wanted to know if hes in my class. the answer to that is no. so those suggestions wont work(thanks anywayz) most people here seem convinced that its overconfidence/arrogance that is the prob. the could be true. some of my other martial arts buddies dont suffer from that so....hmmmm well see. thanx alot folks. keep them coming
  8. My least favorite part of the movie is when Daniel-san is hugging that blond chick for the first time, like such a dweeb. I can practically hear him going: "*heavy breathing* G-g-giiirrrll... *heavy breathing* p-pretty giiirrllll... *heavy breathing*........*sniffs her hair*" -monkeygirl lol man. common, every movie needs a love scene, even if it is lame:)
  9. do the style you want to man!!!
  10. i think the idea of 'kids with black belts' could raise up the question 'how old must a person be to begin martial arts? does age really matter to you people?
  11. muay thai man. hard stuff there:)
  12. will the two make a good mix though?
  13. taking different skills from other styles huh. thats a good idea granmasterchen. i might just do that...
  14. so every agrees he should be humbled. now how can i show him this before someone on the steet does?
  15. hey treebranch, im a dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. hi to all. how you folks doin? i just want to tell you about my friend named sandler who has taken martial arts for some time now. ive noticed a considerable growth in his confidence, so much in fact that it kind of scares me. he is way to confident in his skills. i have trained longer than him, and yes my confidence has grown. but i still have preserved my common sense in street smarts and i treat everyone as if they are potentially a better fighter than me. sandler doesnt. the only people he seems to fear are those who are higher in martial arts ranking. nobody seems to be a threat. this is why im worried. how do you people feel about this? thanxxx
  17. lol. i see this is quite a controversial question. thanx anyways. i do like the point however that whitetiger made about boys taking it easy on women. thats true. so hmmmmm...this complicates it a bit. ah well thanx again. just keep sending them.
  18. lol, funny conversation:) hey, do the soul caliburs have anything to do with soul blade?
  19. thanx alot, i see what your all saying. but still i have a few questions. quite a while ago i noticed that the girls who train in my dojo are becoming more aggresive(somewhat determined) than they were when the first started. im not going to dismiss the fact that this could be happening in every school, but could this be due to the fact that they are training with males who are generally more aggresive? i personally have become more aggresive too. so thats why i want to know, if i were to become a teacher(sensei, sifu...whatever it is) and some female students ask for a female only class, what should i do? should i just ignore the fact that i could be setting them up for inevitable trouble? thanx for any comments dudes laters:)
  20. i personally like girls who do martial arts. they're just like any other girl, except cooler(and hotter).
  21. hi to all. this topic is for all. im still just a teen and really curious because i hope to be a martial art teacher one day. please i ask you to take no offence if i say something wrong. i've noticed a very popular trend among 'girls only' martial arts classes. i belong to a mixed dojo and personally i like it like that because it gives me a good perspective of what it is like to fight against both sexes. so i've began to question these female only classes. what is the purpose of this action? their main objective seems to be self defence. so why would they ignore the fact that most attackers are male? could they be setting themselves up for failure? true, being among your own gender would create a more comfortable atmosphere but shouldn't a school simulate a more realistic combat situation? how would these girls react when placed in a real and more stressful fighting situation? any comments/advice would be greatly apprectiated. bye bye for now:)
  22. its a great game man. it really love it, especially after tenchu 2!!!. ayame has got to be the greatest, but the other two are still pretty cool. my blessings to all of you for liking this game:)
