  1. One time me and my friend both bowed at about the same time while entering blockbuster. Very embarassing, lol.
  2. Symbol of shito-ryu?? Never heard of it.
  3. Got the idea from the 'bored' thread, lol. Thought this would be fun. Anyway heres what mine usually consists of: (Summer routine) -Wake up at 12 Noon ( I know i'm lazy). -Eat breakfast usually a bowl of cereal. -Play a computer game, or train or jog, for an hour or two. -Eat lunch -Hang out with friends(As often as possible lol) -KARATE!!! My favorite part! Usually I train at the dojo for 2-3 hours, its open almost every day except sunday and friday. -Train at home since I'm warmed up from karate and have some spare energy left(A LITTLE, lol), usually get myself worn out and tired. -Watch tv, read or talk on AIM. -Read in Bed -ZzzzZZZZzzzzZZZzzzZZzzzZzZZzz
  4. Is their a difference, or are they the same thing? Having an argument with my friend on this topic a little clarification on this would be cool thx.
  5. Hey guys Started Karate around 2 months ago and during warmups i have been doing my butterfly stretch quite lightly. This is the first time i have truly stretched in around 5 years. However even when I do a light butterfly the muscle area close to the groin area on my left leg has a very strange pain. I do not get this in my right leg. In my right leg I feel the normal burn/stretching sensation but in the other leg it is a strange pain in a focused/isolated area inside the muscle. I have just started to do intense butterflys today, but I remember this happening even years ago when I did stretch. I'm gonna keep doing intense butterfly for around a week and see if it dies off. Any ideas i'd love. Thanks
  6. Hey! yesterday my Sensei told me he felt I was ready to test for my yellow belt in a few weeks! This will be the first test I have ever taken and do any of you guys have some tips? Do you know what is typical on a yellow belt test? (Shito-Ryu Karate)
  7. I have an answer for you in the Karate forum, no need to post the same question twice...BRO...
  8. Took my third class today in Shito-Ryu, it was a great workout and I did have fun. However, I feel like the sensei was becoming frustrated with me, I occasionaly was using the wrong arm or doing a wrong block. Overall it was a good experience though. For some reason I have a problem on the Block, stance then back to horse stance combos. Maybe its because i'm watching my sensei in the mirror lol.... Yeah but it was fun I learned Ki-On-Kata-Eesh or something like that LOL I know it is probably tottaly wrong spelling. Just wanted to let you guys know, or maybe someone has some tips?
  9. Of course you can become very good if you just practice a lot and going to the dojo everyday seems like it is going to be a lot of training for you. You should also practice at home when you have the chance and I hear that a diet can help a lot also.
  10. I was just wondering what kind of techniques are involved and what it focuses on. Is it interesting to learn? Is it challenging?
  11. I went to the dojo today and I signed up. Shito-Ryu is what we will be studying. My first class is on Saturday which is a beginner class, I'm very excited, wish me luck! By the way does anyone know about Shito-Ryu? Or does anyone else study it?
  12. Not me lol, well maybe thats cause I haven't started yet.... but when I do it sounds kinda fun and a good experience...
  13. Well, I haven't even started MA yet but I am going to very, very soon.(Most likely Karate). Anyway my question is I really haven't been working out at all lately. Should I start to condition my body even before I start my training? I am 15 years of age 5'8" and 130 pounds. I have mild asthma which can be a problem sometimes. If I should start working out any ideas what I should do? Like starting slowly...or what? Thanks in advance.
  14. Hey guys! This is definitely a great forum I have been browsing it for a while now but I just decided to start posting and become active in it. Anyway I currently haven't started MA yet but a while ago I took some TKD, and I am now interested in starting my training again. (The last time I started I was young and I dont think I understood what it meant and took to train and learn) I have some questions but I guess I'll be posting those in the other forums.
