    question

Lu Bu Do you train in Yakima? If you do, i'm sure the ranking system there is White Yellow Gold Orange Purple Green Brown 3rd Kyu Brown 2nd Kyu Brown 1st Kyu Shodan-ho (Black Belt without credentials) Shodan (Black Belt with credentials) If however, you train with Mr. Isaias in Auburn, well he does it a little differently than Shihan Mack. The question remains, where is your school?
  2. Lu Bu: Shudokan does do weapons. Tonfa is one of these weapons. We use the traditional weapons of Okinawan farmers/peaseants. I do not visit this site often, but I will try to check in if you have further questions.
  3. Shudokan. Kenny (BKJ1216) private message me and I can tell you most of what you need to know about Shudokan.
  4. I'm back. My wife's physical therapist said I was correct in what was said above in my last post.
  5. Greatings, I'm new to this forum and will give you my best opinion on how to strengthen your weak leg. I'm a nurse and have learned that the body has a very powerful homestatic ability in healing. What this means is, what is good for one leg is good for the other. In other words, you can strengthen the good leg and the weaker leg will get stronger and build muscle. You won't be off balance especially as the healing process continues. I realize that this may be hard to believe but studies have shown that even when in a cast, the weak leg can build muscle due to strength training on the non-injured side. What's ironic is that my wife just tore her ACL in competiion. She had surgery two days ago, and we are going to PT today. I will ask the physical therapist her opinion and let you know. Good luck.
  6. Hi, i'm new to this forum. I find that Dragon International makes top quality gi's. There heavy weight brush cotton gi's absorb the sweat nicely and draw it away from your body, helping to cool off. However, I would recommend starting with their Juka Bronz or Juka Emerald. Their Canvas/cotton Gi's are nice too and cheaper, but for reasons mentioned above, I like the brushed cotton.
