  1. Nice thread idea, isshinryu5toforever. Yeah, I have to say that I have pretty much avoided "strange" foods (or the foods we'd consider strange here at KF). I can't really even think of anything. Patrick
  2. Good thread idea. Thanks for starting it, JiuJitsuNation, and everyone who has contributed to it. Word of mouth is awesome and powerful. But, if you have the budget for some marketing, it is definitely worth experimenting with. It also depends on your goals, if your school is meant to grow as large as it can be, if you depend on it for your income, etc. etc. etc. Thanks again, Patrick
  3. Thanks Brian. I appreciate you posting this. Sorry for the delay in responding to this. Well said, GeoGiant. Very sad. But, when I heard the news, one of the things I thought was that it made me even more glad that we won last year. A bit more fitting. My thoughts are certainly with his family. The polarizing persona aside, he helped a lot of people and I suspect we'll hear more and more about how he helped folks privately without the press knowing, now that he has passed. As a sports fan, he was my kind of owner and it's hard to argue with 7 titles in 27 years. As a whole, I think he was good for the game and hope that, now that he's gone, he'll finally get an appropriate look for the Hall of Fame. Bob Sheppard also passed away, shortly before Mr. Steinbrenner did. They'll both be missed. Rest in peace.
  4. I would say that different people have different ideas of luxury. Hundreds of acres of green pasture and a barn would be luxury for some, where this house might be luxury for others. All depends on what we enjoy. Patrick
  5. Interesting. Speaking generall, it's dangerous if admittance to an institution is seen as some sort of factual matter of your being. Goes against the human nature of mistakes.
  6. Cool house. That said, $50,000,000 could go a lot farther in North Carolina.
  7. The main thing for me is it seems like the machine's are still too much of a hassle. Making sure the item is in the bag, that I do things in the correct order, etc. Half the times I've used one, I've needed help from an attendant. lol. And it's not like I'm technologically challenged. So, I just opt for the person. If I knew it would be a seamless process to use the machine, I wouldn't hesitate to use it, if I felt it would be faster. Patrick
  8. Welcome to KF, flatfoot. Glad to have you. Patrick
