Yellow Belt

Yellow Belt (2/10)

  1. Within a BJJ Gymnasium I make eye contact. Within my Dojo I bow.
  2. Banzai!!!!
  3. I just switched from Accidental Death and Dismemberment as a personal policy.. Goes with the job....
  4. See my pathologist. He works at the Mayo Clinic.
  5. I am careful about eye contact. There are many BJJ Masters whom I have battled, and generally they don't bow- they just look away. Sometimes they will look upward if they perceive one to be of a higher Art. Just saying- be careful...
  6. Michi No Taekwondo!!!
  7. I think what he was saying was with regard to traditional instruction pertaining to "Return to your Dojo" (post protect self), take your Dojo with you wherever you go. In other words always be ready to defend yourself or others. I was just grappling with Chinese translations of the words place, stance, and disabilities. Thanks..
  8. I should have posted here first. I got started from the top down and missed this one. I am a Yondan Master. I use no weapons. Occasionally I go out. I always obey my Sensei. Thanks for this great resource.
  9. My apology: The ADA is the Americans with Disabilities Act. I program for my Dojos, so forgive me. I was trying to assimilate my Sensei's direction with two potential amputee students, was having difficulty solving for Direction. Thank you.
  10. If the reason were a health risk I would begin he or her immediately.
  11. Anyone else carry it??
  12. My traditional Sensei claims one's Dojo is the place where one takes one's stance. How does this affect the ADA?? Jeff
  13. I do not carry weapons. I do not arm myself twice. I do not allow anyone to schedule. I do not follow anyone's budget. I plan for this. I am a fighter.
  14. Being trained to fight incurs self defense. What is important in law enforcement is that we remain ready. Ready for action. Ready for whatever it takes. I prefer self defense, but for whatever reason it does not appeal to us.
  15. Per WKF a hand to hand designation is comparative to a black belt with fist. Discuss.
