Just wondering, why does G95champ say welcome for no reason in every forum now?

Actually its not accurate. Some karate styles use mainly high stances, some use low stances, some use joint locks, some dont, some have grappling and ground work, some just use stand fighting. It would be little more precise to say tkd is similar to japanese karate styles, but even that isnt quite true.

Karate is a broad term. There are dozens of karate styles, to say that tkd is exactly the same as karate would be an untrue statement. Tkd is more similar to shotagan, not "karate". Hapkido is different from tkd because is contains throws, locks, and pressure points.

Maybe if you ask really nicely he will let you wear it. Either that or just wear it to class, and when he sees how awesome you look he'll make everyone buy them.

Pesonally i see martial arts more as weapons (not including guns). Like a MA such as tai chi would be similar to a whip. Its flowing, and hard to learn. Where some thing like muay thai would be more similar to a baseballbat, straight forward, and easy to use and learn. But in the end any weapon or any martial art can be useful and very effiective, some just take more time to learn and more effort to become useful with, but in the end it can be just as deadly as one that is easy to use and learn.

Personally i love anime and video game music, i have about 160 songs from them on my computer. Im actually listening to the dark chii theme from the anime chobits (it also was in X)

The game looks like a piece of rats *, everybody sais it sucks, its an insult to bruce lee. If you want a good fighting game for xbox buy soul calibur 2 (which in my opinion is the best fighting game ever made), or dead or alive 3.

Id say that im king nerd here. Im a huge video game fan (including ff), I love anime and manga, i love computers, im a big star wars fan, im really into fantasy books and lotr, and to top it all off i like watching star trek and reading comics (altough im not really big into them). But i dont really think people care anymore if you like these kind of things, nobody has ever given me a problem about any of the stuff i like that people might consider "nerd like".

So people that like final fantasy games are geeks but people in the manga/anime crowd such as yourself are not? Last time i checked, gaming was way more popular in the west than anime is, and ever will be. And besides, most people like ff games, and ff is considered "cooler" than watching anime (unless your an 8 year old and watch yu gi oh). So there you have it, i declare you a bigger geek than the ff fans here.

Personally i think steven king is over rated. His books arnt that good or that scary.

So there was a struggle between the particles, and then things just forumed? So out of nowhere trillions of suns and solar systems just formed? The particles suddenly turned into living beings and came alive? That statement is ludacris. In the particle eccelerators, did matter, such as rocks, dirt, oceans, did any of that appear? I didnt think so. Theres more proof than you can imagine. Love, compassion, honesty, hope, all emotion (even bad) proves there is god. As corny as this all may sound, you cant just say that all the beauty in this world was just an accident. Science can prove a lot, but it cant prove everything. What about all the people that have had their hearts stop beating, and were clinicly dead (but then revived after a minute or 2) and say they saw a great light and angels comming down to them, and them feeling a warmth. What about the people that by all means should have died but didnt get harmed badly (like the guy that shot in head 3 times, or the person that fell 2000 feet from an airplane and didnt break a bone). If there is no god then where do you go when you die, lets hear this from you mr science. Plus there something else, the bible, that proves a lot too.

Hmm, this isnt exactly what i had in mind when i started this forum...... But anyways, id have to agree Martial_artist, even though you may get pissed when you get a speeding ticket, who else is gonna save your * from some psyco with a knife at 2 in the morning. But personally, id rather be a firefighter. They save peoples lives, everyone loves them, no gives them crap, and chicks love firefighters.

Think about, he writes a book for his children and it becomes the most popular fantasy novel of all time and is the inspiration for almost every book in the genre.....Id say thats a bit of an extra bonus than just making his kids happy.

I casually bike ride (like to school and such), and occasionally I do some mountain biking, but im not really big into it. Heres a tip though. Dont become a hardcore bmx or mountain biker or anything like that and dont ride your bike tonnes (like more than 25 hours every week), it damages the tubing on the inside of your body and causes genital problems later in life.

The big bang is a piece of crap. Personally i think its just for people who dont want to put faith into spirtual life, so they choke out some scientific theory to try and prove that the universe wasnt created by god. Secondly, how can they test it? What evidence does anyone have if the theory is true or not? None!!! there arnt time machines, and its not like finding an artifact where you can test it and study it. I could make up a theory that giant alien toke a crap and it formed the universe and it would have the same amount of proof as the big bang theory. Also, just think about what the idea states. It sais that a bunch of gasses, chemicals, matter, anti matter (which i have just learned from you guys about) and other substances came together, and then exploded and created everything in the universe. Just think about how this, how could an explosion create everything??!!?! Usually explosions destroy things, not create planets. And another thing, lets say just say that an explosion could create things (which is impossible), dont you think that eveything would be pretty much the same, instead of having such a wide varity of matter in space, eg.. gass planets, the sun, planets which are made from different componants. 1 last thing, how did life begin on our planet? If you take a hunk of dirt or metal, and put it into a air tight zone with no other life onganisms in it (this included bacteria) no life will grow on it. So then how did all of a sudden organisms start to grow on our planet? Bacteria and emiba couldnt just get created by the big bang explosion now could it? When you look at it the big bang theory states that an explosion created all life and substance in the universe, now thats just insane.

Do you think its possible to have real life super heroes in a larger city? Im talking about guys that go around the city and do good deeds like stoping mugging, thieft, vandelism, rapes and murder all in the progress (or shortly after), you know like a hero would do. I dont mean heroes with super powers, i mean heroes that use technology, gadgets, weapons and martial arts (kind of like batman). So im just wondering, do you guys think this is possible for a hero like this to exist?
