Yellow Belt (2/10)

  1. If you want to look toward Leesburg, I can help you! Please tell me more about yourself.
  2. No regrets! I'm just glad that I am able to play!
  3. The martial arts provides physical and emotional balance. Achieving this balance is likened to a runner's high. This balance allows you to make smarter choices in your everyday living. Choices that may prevent you from being in a situation where physical harm may occur, this is the short answer.
  4. Englon is correct! "9th is the highest. There is a 10th dan (kukkiwon) that is given by special recomendation only and not that common."
  5. I am with "Pacificshore", go with cloth.
  6. Thank-you. My advise to you is keep working hard on advancing your skills and see if the complements follow. Good for you, it's always nice to know you stand on positive ground in the eyes of your peers.
  7. sickwithit13: "Does it really help your high kicks?" Yes, having flexibility increases accuracy, speed, and allows you to work on technique. Have patience, an injury due to trying to stretch too much too fast may set you back farther than when you started.

  9. Walk away.. Fighting gives and answers nothing. Walking away gives both sides time to think about the situation which will hopefully lead to doing what is best. Lazy thinkers fight and the quiet ones get revenge.

  11. After training 4 times a week 3 hours a day, I received my first dan in 2.5 years. Speed of achievement was not what I was looking for. I put in the time when I had a lot to give and I am thankful. I was a kid who needed something to do and tae kwon do was it. Now I am a W.T.F. 5th dan, and I love tae kwon do more now than when I started. Tae kwon do has allowed me to travel the world and open my eyes to the many people who practice it, like this forum. Keep kicking everybody!
  12. I want to "air out" the forum a bit by asking everyone the question, "what has tae kwon do done for you?"
  13. You're not showing off... keep doing your thing.
